Nintendo's SNES/SFC cartridge prices shaved some character rosters?

Yes, unfortunately, there was no jpn. version. I'm sure they would have done a manga style cover then, like for the SFC one. Would have been cool to have another different artwork as well. As it stands though, the only version to go is the US. The european one is PAL optimized, i.e. unplayable in 60Hz. It's just a collector's item.

same here.for a lot of people without a pc,at the time the snes was the only way to play doom.

Saved and saved to buy it as a kid. It was my first brand new game. 50 bucks is a lot when you only get a dollar a week in allowance. Then I nearly lost it when the dude at kb toys hit that plus tax button and it was more than I had. My mom covered the rest, and I was shitting myself waiting to go home and get started.
