I'd rather get Ryan's "Spam" email than have to wade through post after post of Neostore-Hype Monkey propaganda on these very forums. :tickled:

When Spam keeps leaving a bad taste on your pallette, remember that there's an alternative!

And it's a whole dollar less per can!

Heh, I got another e-mail too, even after Ryan said he'd never e-mail me again. Fag.

God damn, quit whining already.

It's a freaking e-mail. I'm sure you get worse spam than that. At least there is another place to buy Neo games from.

This site is neverendingly rediculous :oh_no:

Someone bring Tora back so people have better shit to bitch about...

Hmm... Checks the e-mail account that I only use when registering on forums. Spots offending e-mail, click on "Report as Spam"...

Hmm... Quick look it appears that the His website hosting provider is: http://www.underdoghosting.com/ .

Going by the DNS indicated here:

NS2.UNDERDOGHOSTING.COM 216.127.72.113
NS3.UNDERDOGHOSTING.COM 216.127.79.18

You can try sending a complaint to abuse@underdoghosting.com . But I don't see that e-mail address listed on their site. Just remember that you are getting spam from JapanGamesNow.com which appears to be hosted by them.

Seriously, if you want to mention that your website is up and running, POST on the website. Don't scrape e-mails from forum members and start spamming people. So far, all that work manages to piss people off and I know that I won't be buying anything from that store.
Now instead of just replying and typing "remove me" in the subject you went through all of this trouble and time. I'm glad my life isn't as boring as yours.

I'm pretty sure animegal isn't her ;)

Not sure about the other two though :spock:

I replied to the first to take me off his mailing list. He promptly emailed me back saying he'd never email me again.

Its been around 20+ hours since I posted. I still dont see anything yet. My best guess is that he took me off either that or he is waiting another 24 hours and spaming everyone that asked him to take them off. WE GET A SPECIAL SPAM FOR NOT BEING ON THE MAIN SPAM LIST. Highly unlikely, but I will keep you guys posted if I get something unwanted that says NEO GEO on it.

Feel free to send me your Neo Geo's. They are not unwanted. I actually really want! I really want!

Me like a few other people just want to see if JGN keeps their word. Its about integrity and nothing else. This is a basic principle all people should live by...Keeping their word. Thats all.

He didn't have a "Remove Me" part in the last one, which he apologized for. How were they supposed to know you didn't want one, he isn't going to not send another one at all, because some people want one. Take 3 seconds out of your life, reply with REMOVE ME and voila done.

You're right. I am not being fair or reasonable.

I have purchased many a game from Ryan and he's always been 110% to his
word. I'm just having a bad day and taking it out on other people is not
cool. I should have thought before I posted.

I deleted all of my posts. Sorry to everyone.

Over a week has passed and two e-mails had been sent to Shawn asking about my status here. I have not heard back from him in any form, however, I have not been banned (I suspect b/c I did not even come close to breaking any of this site's rules) and have not been told I am not allowed to post. This said, that silence and my abilty to log-in tells me that Shawn is a man of solid character and he would not ban someone whom has respected his rules.

Because of that I am lifting a self-imposed posting ban, starting right here. I started this self-imposed ban in my last post b/c **at the time** only 2 days had passed and I had not heard from Shawn and there was question as to what was going on- this late in the game (coming in on 10 days later) it is obvious that we will respect each other with mutual silence. To be clear, I will not name my site by name EVER, I will not hype it here EVER and I will not EVER sell anything in the Neo Geo Selling. I will post replies/threads as long as they in no way hype my site. I will post that I want thing in the Wanted Forum and I will sell non-Geo (i.e. non competing) items in the EveryThing Else forum.

That said, I will answer a couple of the questions raised here (the ones that have been addressed in previous posts I will not be answering and refer you to the previous post on this topic).

**Originally** I had plans of only sending ONE e-mail, (the one announcing the site). After sending it, I received over 200 e-mails from people asking in a positive manner how often the "newsletter" (as a few put it) came out. With such a positve response, I'd be silly not to continue it as a ongoing thing. A few pretty well-known members here even e-mail me asking to be put on the list b/c they were NOT there in the list first place.

@beefjerky
I DID ask the people that send my bulk e-mails for me to remove your e-mail. I will on Monday go and ask in person to see what went wrong. If your name is there you have my apology. The others that asked to delete their e-mails obviously had been removed as is proven by the fact that they are not up in arms right now. To make good with you, I would be glad to offer you a free (since I know yo to be an mvs guy) japanese mini marquee of anything i have on hand (which is about 20 titles) for your trouble. I am not looking to piss anyone off and want to show that I am REALLY trying to make good here. Please lmk via pm.

@Everyone Else
That brings up related point: if you do not want e-mail from me, the PLEASE tell me either usig the method I mentioned in the e-mail or e-mail me at siliconrs@hotmail.com

I DO NOT WANT TO BUG ANYONE, and I will remove you right away.

I read this and similar posts (the last on on this topic is what I am specifically thinking of) and just want to thank people whom have **actually dealt with me** for their kind words. You guys seriously rock!! :buttrock:

Edit: Edits one line for clarity.

I am one of those who asked to be put on Ryan's mailing list as originally I was not on it. He can send me emails each week if he likes informing me of new neo stock in etc...at his store. I for one welcome them, having another online store is healthy for all consumers.

I still can't understand why this man is being bashed by some members for sending out email's to people from a site that is all about the kind of products he is offering. You people really need to get over it - just email him back and tell him you wish to recieve no further emails from him if you are so concerned about it. That will be one less person I have to worry about purchasing a potential item that Ryan will surely get in at some time that interests me. He can "Spam" me as much as he likes for all I care - a weekly update or so isn't going to affect me in the slightest.

Spam is Spam.

This is twice now.

Whether they're selling Viagra, Porn, or Neo Geo, it's unsolicited email. The proprieter can't even claim he tricked you into subscribing, since it was a "cold" email. Unlike EW, I see spam as a prick thing to do.

I cannot agree more. I can't understand why other people do this off as a 'one time mailing'. You guys seem to miss the big picture.

Imagine this is the 90's and every shop is stocking neo-geo hardware at (for that time) high prices. Now imagine that all those stores are on-line stores. They hire a php/sql geek, that programs a little harvester for them, and behold, now you get 24 weekly newsletters you did not subscribe to, a daily update or 5 and at least 10-20 special offers since they want to sell the high-priced neogeo gear..

Spam is Spam. There are actually LAWS prohibiting the sending of spam. I guess most of you pro-spam people haven't been on the internet that long, since you don't know the unwritten rules. Imagine a client-in-dos-based internet back in 1993, and a spam-free world. w00p. No popups, only boot-virii. Bla bla..

@EW:Imagine you'd get email for all your hobbies or things you liked, without subscribing to anything.. Imagine being called for interesting offers on all the things you like..

I figure he used a combination of php skills / scripts to scan the forum for the @ sign and put all the email-adresses into a database. Then he weeded out the non-valid mail adresses. And now he's weeding out the people who bitch like me.

Oh well, i'm off. Need to configure some pbx's

I will be sad if I could not get e-mail from Ryan because it is very good for me to know about any information of Neogeo store. It has only Shawn and Ryan that I respect about selling Aes now. :D

I'll make sure to remove my e-mail to keep people from messing around with my stuff in the future. It doesn't annoy me that he sent me that e-mail. But, it allows abuse by others clearly.

Personally, I want Ryan to continue sending me emails. I love NEO, and him sending me mail about NEO is even better.

Hell and I don't like spam either but to get email about a subject you like IS a logical COA. :mr_t:
