I'm off to army in few days

I was in the Army for three years. I did get the GI Bill though that helped pay for a little of my college. Of course they send you the money a couple months after you actually need it but that is part of the charm.


I keep wondering if there is any way to get those three years back.

Israel has required that since its inception in 1948, IIRC.
Orthodox Jews are granted a special exemption, though.

Many countries, Sweden, Russia, etc...

Oh and Tony_N, you`ll do fine.

I was a lazy "sivari" myself, which was a colossal waste of time, in hindsight I should`ve gone "totaali", many friends have done it.
