It's pretty much the same here too, but it can be a only 3 months period for the really lucky guys.

12 months only for the idiots that they keep trapped here on purpose (lousy soldiers, indicipline, etc) or the ones that want to follow the military career (and are lucky enough to no get released at the 3-6-9 months ).

I have to go.

We don't really get paid.
You can make the choice and stay there and have a military career for living.

Yes we are involved in UN Peacekeeping, you can apply for it after you've finished your actual service I guess.

I think their main operations are just in those fun places.
