IMO ROM-discussion will corrupt this site as pure "neo-geo" website.

So, I'll vote a big NO for ROM-discussion.
With respect to all orochinagi's member, I think ROM players should talk about it somewhere else.

If you're really serious about sprite ripping from Shock Troopers 2 (or any game for that matter.) Just ask Fat Cat Lim for hints and advice.

Just to inform, not to flame:
No rom begging were tolerated in the ON.com forums, and the usual ppl dun reply to rom begs.

We play the roms, but we've put a TON of $$ into the games themselves.
I for one, have dumped at LEAST 500$ in playing KOF...In case you dun know, the KOFers LIVE KOF here, not just play it.

It's all about 'not turning fans away'IMO.
What is it that detrmines a 'HARDCORE' fan?
The emu breeds curiousity if not anything else.
So many people have crossed over and continue to do so,some play the middle (emu/hardware)and that okay too.then you have that minority that will collect just to do it and pass it along to their friends/others for a fee.Who's to say they won't get hooked and start seeking out the real thing??? descriminating against emu users kills are scene. Who wants to kill the scene? not me.
The Arcade was my motivation to seek out the home system. The emu has taken the place of the arcade IMO especially here in the US.

Thats BS BB.
No 1 is discriminating. Most of us really
do not care that someone uses an emu.

We just dont want it chatted up here.
Its copmletly overrun every group/bbs that
did allow it. There are tons a sites dedicated to it.

What makes you think that adding 1 more to the list of thousands will help the scene?
It wont, it'll just destroy this one.

Hell, ugly people fuck.
That doesnt mean I wanna see em in my porno.

Hahahah.. You actually own a porno where you have'nt witnessed ugly people fucking IYO??? LOL What you consider to be ugly I may consider to be cool and vica versa.
This does'nt have to be specifically related to porno but I'd like to ask you how do you determine whether you're going to purchase something or not? You're going to get that visual, check out the specs and sample if at all possible right?
this is how I see the emu.I really don't see how dialogue hurts, please help me understand this because you keep saying it will kill the site. How will dialogue kill a site?? What do you mean by 'KILL IT'??

Let me care to explain why the emu is so important in my country .
The arcades are overtaxed , not to mention that unlike the USA , KOF take 2$ instead of 0.25 cents .
If you live like this should you bother to play to the arcades everydays ?
I bet no .

You know i don't really see a big deal if a neo-geo gamer uses a emulator to play games. I was a die hard Neo*Geo Arcade gamer back when i lived in Japan, the machines was abundent, however, do the the part that i'm a militay child we moved to northwest flordia. I have yet to see a Neo*Geo cabnet, so i start emulating. That maybe the reason why most emu gamers emulate. So stop acting so pissy towards it. Besides Neo*Geo's cost too much, $300 bucks for a game, gee i rather emulate or hit the arcade for play...

This type of dialogue should be corrected.I'm not going to attack you personally,it's not about that. What you have to do is educate yourself before making statements like the above.
What's $300?? try to be more specific??
I will tell you that there are more options available to you that you've not explored,so it would be in your best interest to search the archives and educate yourslef before you make statements like the one above.

This is why the devils, lwk and all opposers are such an important part of this scene.
You guys are strong in your convictions and this is where the debating back and fourth comes in.The promoters of hardware will not allow such a thing to happen they've been putting people in check since day one.

Get cable!!! I downloaded it, or truthfully my brother did for me, the day it became available, and it took not even two minutes.

For competition, yes it's very abundant up here. Incredibly so at that. You really should come up to Toronto/Vancouver to see what it's like, esp. when the game in new. I never did visit any arcades on my one trip to Vancouver, but I'm sure it's all even greater than what we find in Toronto.

By the way, let's not forget about all the scarce + unreleased to home system MVS games, like Pop 'n Bounce, Neo BomberMan, Zed Blade and the rest. How would most of us ever play them if it weren't for NRX/MAME? Of course it's not the same as playing every new fighter on emu, but emulation is not completely bad. So far I have found one Pop 'n Bounce cabinet, and the same goes for the game of my namesake. The point being, how would those games otherwise really influence my decision to get a cabinet largely for titles of such availability?

i don't really remember the game, but i was looking at a chips & bits catalog and they had games priced up too $300. the only place i remeber seeing a neo*geo in a store was at a Toys R' Us in Okinowa, i didn't get it cause my paraents wouldn't buy it for me. thats also a reason why some of us cant get one...

we have paraents.

What I am trying to tell you is that you should never 'KNOCK' the price of something because you have no means of obtaining it at the moment.
You don't have to rely on your parents to buy things for you,go get a paper route or mow some lawns, help people with their bags at the super market and save your money.
Very few games are more than $300.
Your primary focus should be on purchasing a system then worry about obtaining the games.
Never confuse that emulator you have with the 'real thing'.
Never 'KNOCK' the real thing because you don't own one.
The emulator is holding you over until your able to save some money to obtain the real thing would have been such a better comment because we all know you want the real thing!!
That's why you go through all the BS that comes with rigging up that emu.

The emu=the advertisement
The Neo Geo=the product
Don't get it confused!!
