As I realised in the topic nextdoor, Fatal Fury is the game I owned the most copies of.
Got it for the SNES, got an AES JP copy, an AES US-DT copy, two MD copies, one for the SFC, I also purchased it in various digital forms...
It's bad - but I know it can be much worse and I'm counting on you for that.

Sonic the Hedgehog 1.

Genesis original
Sonic Jam on Saturn
Sonic Mega Collection Plus on PS2
Sonic Classic Collection on DS
SEGA Genesis Collection on PSP
Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on PS3
Sonic Origins Plus On Switch

And I think I got a free download of the Android version.

It's surely street fighter 2 for me, I feel like I've owned that on everything down to a toothbrush version

Money Idol/Puzzle Exvhanger MVS. Had four copies at one time, one ended up being faulty. Bill Burger kept listing them for cheap and I couldn’t resist.

Probably combat or pac man on Atari 2600. Maybe 3 copies of each.

Also had mortal Kombat 2 on msdos, 32x and SNES simultaneously.

Probably Sonic or Asteroids. Bought almost all of those MD & Atari compilations.

Not counting the various SF2 versions...
Super Mario Bros.
Mega Man 2
I own GTA 5 three times (360, PS3 and PC)

SMB is like owning those Lack sidetables from Ikea: once you got them, you're not getting rid of them unless you just throw them away.

I once had a stack of sealed Drill Dozer copies. Yes I should have held onto them for a lot longer.

Does the OP mean multiple copies of the exact same game (eg, Fatal Fury on AES), or different versions of a game on different systems?
