Better SNK at E3 article.

The buzz seems to indicate that Playmore will have the new Shodown and Slug games on display at E3? Are we in for some info and/or artwork? I'll shit myself if we get Shodown 5 info in less than two weeks. eek!

An info without a source and without the author's name simply have no credibility.

But I can say also that everything that was written on that document can be possible. Maybe not the Baseball Stars part, wich I would love to see a 3rd instalment tough.

i d figure that would amount to gameplay.
and 01 is a turd.
so if we took the arguement that gameplay is paramount
while giving less attention to presentation music and art then thats your result.

If your idea of good gameplay in a kof involves making other characters get into your fight. Then I'm truly upset by the fans who don't seek to perform combos with no interference. Staying strictly on the old hardware will limit how successful they can be. If you disagree, you're allowing your selfish/elitist 'love' of the 16-bit Neo system to fuck with the proper evolution of SNK.

Yeah. Scaring, isn't it. Slowly we're becoming dinosaurs with our love for 2D games.

...and then there are ppl that always assume that I would hate all 3D games, which is utter bullshit, but apart from very few exceptions, how many 3D adaptions of former 2D games have you ppl played that are worth their money?

And, where's Playmore's damn focus? Okay, perhaps it was a lil' naive to believe that Playmore would closely follow the footsteps of SNK, but I'm not convinced that 3D next-gen games with a few polygonized SNK shooting or fighting game charas would do well. There are a lot of 3D fighting and action games out there, made by companies that have years of experience in 3D games, but then there's Playmore with how many years of experience in this field? 2? 1? 0?

I've got so many playable 3D games they are coming out of my ass. Neo is the only non-portable 2D system with games still being released, I would have liked to see it live for a few more years. It's also the only current cartridge based home system, I love big chunky carts but it looks like those days are almost as dead as SNK. I just think it's kinda sad although I'm amazed it's lasted as long as it has. When the last Neo homecart is released, whether it's SvC, KOF03 or SS5 it'll be a sad day for me.
