i liked the neo more when i was younger, and it was the mystery arcade machine with the fighting game i'd never heard of [aof2] in the back of the pizza place. or the awesome racing game [drift out] i could never quite topple in the front of the pizza place.

now that i know about the system and its drama and prices, im a sad boy who owns an aes and little money.

I use Neo-Geo Carts only, anything else is a cheap immitation!!!. I also have the official guide books, and music from ponyscitron for most of my neo-geo games!!!. And drama cds.

but Fran you are renowned for hating all port players, or so i've heard. I don't think ports are better it is my dream to get an AES <img src="graemlins/drool2.gif" border="0" alt="[Drool 2]" />

Even though i do think sometimes the port version is actually better than the original mainly because of all the extras you get in ports and because of the difference in price.

I'm MVS all the way. But for some reason I still own an AES system with no games though. I guess that makes me a hardcore collector! For the time being I'll just go play my Candy.

it started at arcade for me... but I've nothing against port since it can bring 'SNK' spirit in bigger gaming population.

but, of course, nothing can beat the original and the neo oldstyle stick is the best in the world.

Well I have nothing against people who only own ports, but many people who own them are just stupid, (not to offend anyone) I myself collect both, as long as they're Neo-Geo games...In my eyes there's no port out there better than the original Neo stuff.

MVS here... Can't live without my cab . For me, ports aren't perfect (I own both KOF 98 & 99 for DC and have them in MVS, the MVS blows it away)

It all started with playing Baseball Stars 2 at my friend's house on his AES 8 years ago and it's been only AES from there. I sold it in '99 and purchased it again in March this year (I guess you can run from the NEO, but you can't hide).

I do own a disc full of ROMZ to play some games that I'll either never buy because of their high price or want to check out before I buy (bought Ghost Pilots recently because of that). The only port I own (and it's been three days now) is Garou for DC. I now know that that game is good, but certainly not worth the price of the AES cart.

I can only enjoy my games on my AES. Nothing else comes close.

hahahahaha, they call you "white coolie"!!! Thats crazy!!! I've gotta come up to the Tdot to see stuff like Caribana and just experience living in an area with west indians. When i lived in Germany they had a fair number of them and it was cool however the area i live in now (My birthplace) has a very very very small amount of West Indians and i'm just pheenin to get hooked up with some Island lovlies .

Home carts are my favorite way to play NEO GEO games but I also have a JP NEO CD (with a CDZ arriving soon), a Super Gun and a Phantom-1. I have no need for ports but I think they are a good way to play SNK games for casual or budget minded fans.

I began with AES, but I sold that back in '94.

After that, it was all ports (mostly on Saturn) until I bought a NeoCD in '99.

More recently, I've made the switch to MVS, but I still have a NeoCD and a bunch of CD games.
