I knew wrestling was fake even as a little kid, but somehow I was still surprised to find out Sgt. Slaughter was never in any branch of the military. Never even in Civil Air Patrol, Parks Department, Cub Scouts, nothing.

Still hard to believe MP44 hasn't been reissued yet... Takara did god knows how many reissues of MP10!

When they do get round to it, then I'll probably pick it up as I sold my MP10 last year. Need to sell off my MP11 seekers at some point and preorder Trailbreaker.

Allah be praised. Brother, what's Skeletor going to do when Slaughter and Shiek show up at the front door of Snake Mountain riding angry green pussy? Merman and Beastman won't even slow them down...

Hasbro E8496 "G.I.JOE Classified Series #17: Snake Eyes G.I.JOE Origins Storm Shadow". Still haven't seen the film, which I hear isn't good anyway, but, Storm Shadow is cool regardless. Super poseable and outstanding unmasked Andrew Koji alternate head.

Well, if anyone would know it would be you - you've got all the toys to set that scenario up after all.

I completely believe it. It takes a lot of children's toys to make up for a $700 Lego Star Destroyer or whatever.

Or you could buy a Star Destroyer bootleg on AliExpress for a fraction of that $700 price tag. 😁

Well considering how much the toy companies have started catering to adults it's not surprising. That didn't used to happen outside of niche high-end collectables by specialty companies. Now you go to Target and they have an entire aisle of Lego specifically for adults.

Also look at how many toy lines are from franchises that started when we were kids and are still going. TMNT, TF, MOTU etc. Not to mention there are so many reissues of stuff from when we were kids, those aren't aimed at kids they're aimed adults.

Toy companies realized adults are the ones with the money and there's a lot of adults with disposable income that can't let go of their childhood.

I lied. Sgt. Slaughter & Iron Shiek are fucked if they show their faces at Snake Mountain. Skeletor already has a Royal Rumble waiting...

Can't blame toy companies for wanting to take advantage of adults on a nostalgia kick - I mean I seriously doubt kids today would want to play with re-issued He Man or Real Ghosbusters figures... those cartoons have long since dropped out of syndication.

Personally I wouldn't class Masterpiece TFs as toys, I treat them a detailed models. There's no way I'd be playing with that stuff when I was six / seven years old - a part from the price, I can't imagine young me having the patience to transform them - anyone who has MP22 or MP36 will attest.

Where is King Hiss and Hordak
Under the mat, surprise tag team attack to interrupt Sgt. Slaughter when he grabs Iron Shiek by the feet and starts whipping him around in circles, screaming, "We all go home, or nobody goes home!"

It's rather difficult to collect toys without buying things made in China.

I suppose you could only buy toys that were 3D printed in the USA or something, but, that'd be mighty expensive...

Well…for you it’s fucking impossible. Nearly all the stuff I buy from companies like Bandai, Tomy, Tamiya are made outside of China. The Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam manufacture a lot of toys for export.

Korean brand transforming robots are better than TFs at this point, also so are mainland Chinese bootleg stuff, be it $10 or $1000.
