View Full Version : Fake MVS Cases
I´ve read about the fake MVS cases in the yaton thread..
it´s really news to me :emb: and now i´m wondering how can you tell if it´s a fake case or an original case? :conf:

The original case allows for the insert to be printed how it was intended, in one single piece.
Yaton's cases have 3 slots and the insert has to be sliced and distorted to fit inside of it.
Please refer to this thread instead of keeping this one going: http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=146487
Ah no i´m not talking about Shockboxes but of the MVS Cases itself..
The guy in this thread (http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144200) says "in a fake blue box" thats what is confusing me. :conf:
I´ll ask in his thread then, just thought i open up a topic on it in the bootleg forum, might interest someone else :conf:

Fake cases often have a different texture - they are frosted, not smooth (SNK never made frosted cases.
There are also lots of boots in blue, see-thru cases. They are a brighter blue than the original SNK clear blue cases.
I see, thank you for the info. Gladly, as much as i can tell, my carts are original through and through x__x
