I just got KOF 2000 w/ shockbox from Yaton. The cart is legit, but the shockbox is fake!?!?!?!

Instead of having the insert window all the way around it is fused at the spine, so a full insert can't be put in, you have to cut it up into 3 pieces. Plus the spine window is small so you have to make a small spine piece (which is what yaton did). Has anyone else run across bootleg shockboxes?

Yeah, i won a lot of 6 on ebay about 6 months back and one of them was like that. I threw it away.

Yeah, I'm throwing this one away too, it's useless if I can't put a whole insert in it. It even has a cheaper feel to it. Somebody's cheating Big Bear. :shame:

No idea where Yaton is buying those boxes from. We haven't shipped any large orders to Canada or China. I was bitching about his half assed inserts in another thread, its a shame to see a shockbox not done correctly. :(

It's identical to a real shockbox in every way except for the spine being fused as I said earlier (which is the reason for yaton's half assed inserts), the plastic seems to be thinner, and it seems to be a little sloppily molded on the interior where the cart sits. I'd get you a pic but all I have is a shitty camera phone.

Edit: I just want to add that the clear plastic window on a real shockbox is textured, this yaton special ( :lolz: ) has a smooth plastic window.

Is Yaton claiming these to be actual Shock Boxes? If so, it's definitely intentional misrepresentation. But if not, then there's no harm, no foul, since they're just boxes.

No, he specifically calls them Shock Boxes in his auctions. Here's the auction in question, and there are more from him that seem to have the same "Shock Boxes":

Yaton is a fuck. He should be banned from EVERYTHING ON EARTH. He is already pre-banned from Southtown. If he ever tries to register an account there it will be deleted immediately.

I used to vouch for the guy until he was a cockass about a KOF cart I wanted. Now it just seems this snake is going behind anyone he can to make a quick buck. :shame:

Yaton, jeez I've never seen an MVS cart so dirty and dodgy in my life.
You can easily see that the insert was broken into pieces, look at the NEO GEO logo on the spine, so squished.

Yeah FUCK yaton, he's a grimey piece of trash (just like in my Sig LOL).

I say everyone boycott's his sales. He does nothing to possitively contribute to the community. He just rips off anybody he feels like ripping. He's in the whole "scene" simply to get $$, fuck everyone else. If everyone here stops buying his bullshit fake stuff, maybe he'll go away, back to the dump.

You can clearly see from the Photo's that its in 3 pieces.!!
Also you can see the Trimming work where everything gets trimmed up as the edges of the inserts are so white.
Do you think that Non-genuine Ink is used here also. I'll give you 50-1 that it is.!!!

meh, love him or hate him....where else can you get Blazing Star or Ninja Masters or Kizuna MVS for like $15??!! I would still buy from him, even if he includes a fake shock box...I'll just toss it or keep a PGM cart in it.

But see, I bid on it thinking that he just didn't make the effort to have a full size insert printed. I figured he split it into 3 pieces so he could do it on his home printer. I didn't know that he had to print it that way just to fit it in there.

BTW bill, I love the sig, lol!
