Genshinsai (月心斎) is a secondary character in the Samurai Shodown series. He is the leader of the Kazama Ninja Clan and is often giving missions for Sogetsu to carry out on the clan's behalf. The 3D titles of the series imply that he becomes Sogetsu's foster father.

Appearances

• In Samurai Shodown V, he orders Kazuki, Sogetsu, and Hazuki to seal Enja and Suija. In Sogetsu's ending, he congratulates him for capturing the demons and assures Sogetsu they will not be needing Hazuki's powers for long.
• In Samurai Shodown IV, he sends Sogetsu to find and kill his brother Kazuki for betraying the clan. Sogetsu reports to him in his ending.
• In Samurai Shodown 64, he gives a mission to Sogetsu to investigate the "Mysterious Puppeteer".
• In Samurai Shodown 64-2, he bestows the title of clan leadership to Sogetsu once he completes his mission to stop Yuga again. The time period when this takes place is said to take four months after the clan's other successor dies of mysterious causes.
• In Samurai Shodown Sen, to test his worthiness to succeed as leader, he sends Sogetsu to investigate a foreign ship. In Sogetsu's ending, he's implied to be killed by Sogetsu in vengeance for his mother.
• In Samurai Shodown (2019), he sends Sogetsu, Kazuki and Hazuki to hunt the evil force who is behind of the calamities of the 1787's Japan.
