New MVS Project Super Psyched!!!

Hey guys, just found this forum the other day, seems like a good place to get some help with my new project. I found this old cabinet sitting a few blocks down from my house that someone was throwing out! Picked it up and brought it home to find out there was a functioning MV2-F inside. I needed to splice a new end on the power cable and the 2P controls weren't functioning at first until I re-soldered some wires and now it works fine. The old cabinet (upon doing some research, discovered that it's an old Atari Centipede cabinet) was setup for mono sound so I just temporarily ran some speakers up top for stereo sound. Probably just keep posting back here if I need some help or if there are any updates to the project itself.

Very nice! Congrats on the scoop. What carts did it end up coming with? That control panel is kind of funny, I couldn't imagine playing any fighters on it.

I concur; not the best Neo control layout, but it still looks more playable than that Tempest conversion that's been floating around eBay.

Wow, nice find! To me, it looks like someone converted an Atari cab to a Neo Geo cab, and had a really interesting idea about how his controlpanel layout should be like. Looks sadomasochistic to me

Did you check the battery on the MV2F? Best to remove it (and replace with a coin cell) asap if it's still stock.
