Dell UltraScan CRT monitor and JAMMA: Will it work?

I was walking through the science building at my college today and noticed a big CRT monitor (21", apparently) with a "yard sale" sign taped to it. I wouldn't have thought much of it if I hadn't seen the back: three BNC (I think?) connectors labeled "R," "G," and "B," respectively.

Quite curious about perhaps buying it for use vertically with JAMMA boards (especially old-ish ones like Donkey Kong with a converter or Raiden(not as old)) or using it with high-res boards (new stuff like Arcana Heart, perhaps?).

The model is a Dell Trinitron UltraScan 1600HS, Series Model D1626HT. I've googled it, of course, but I can't make heads or tails of the specifications I can find, or whether or not that information can answer my questions about it.

Those questions are as follows:

1) I know there are different refresh rates for arcade boards; I think I read something about 15kHz versus 30kHz or something. Will this monitor do those?

2) Resolutions are also something to consider, since older boards run at lower resolutions and newer ones run at higher. Can someone explain to me about that, and also let me know if this one can do those?

3) Would it be too tough to run the R+,R-, G+, G-, B+, B- from a JAMMA harness into the BNC connectors on this one? Would it even work?

4) Any other perceived issues?

5) What's a reasonable price for something like this? I don't know what they're asking, but I want to make sure that if it will work, I don't pay too much for it.

Pictures to follow.

That's a Dell P1110 variant. I'm using one right now.

Not to get your hopes up, but thoes BNC connectors could easily be for a VGA signal and not a low-res arcade RGB signal. Hi-res games ought to work since those put out VGA.

Just because a monitor has BNC connectors does not mean it will display standard resolution...

Here's a helpful hint, if the CRT dot pitch is fine (like that monitor) then the lowest it will sync is 31khz.

Okay, thanks for the info. I guess I'll pass on it if it won't do what I need it to.

Aha, quite helpful. I didn't assume it would output the low-res and/or low sync I'd need, I was only hoping, really. Figured it was worth asking at least.

I guess I'll worry about a monitor that can run what I want when/if I actually have some boards that would need it.

Thanks a lot, guys!
