Best PC Engine controller?

I usually use the standard CoreGrafx controller with a cable extension. Or the 6 button pad, just for SF2.

However, I pre-ordered a USB2PCE adapter to use a wireless controller.

If you have the money it's a good joystick for the pce i bought one back in the mid 2000's before it's price spiked.

HORI Fighting Commander & HORI Fighting Stick (HPJ-08) are the best choice.
I still have and use Fighting Stick. It's the same as NEO-GEO version, solid !

This is the correct answer. The Hori Fighting Commander is a great controller. Good D-Pad, and the buttons feel like SNES AB buttons.
