Ive got a plumber I usually call when shit goes down (lol) and the price/work ratio was always pretty accurate. Well, winter is coming and I have 3 outdoor faucets that are leaky, and one that is upside down, but doesn't leak.

He just emailed me a quote for $900. To screw in 4 spigots. Is that an accurate(ish) price for this shit?

We are planning on redoing all of our supply lines with Pex and Sharkbite. We will also be adding an outside spigot (instead of running a hose through the garage over my records).

I think the cost will be $200-$250. It is a relatively small job and all the plumbing is exposed in the basement.

The cost of all the sharkbite fittings I need will be slightly higher than the cost of a PEX crimper and rings.

sounds a little over price , but lots of trades are super busy, so they would give crazy high price quotes for small jobs ... and if one does say yes then it makes it worth their while . realistic that probably a 2 hour job with some youtube help for beginners .. save yourself probaly 800 lol

tip turn off main water shut off open the tab let it drain, then use a wrench to take off the top( left loosy) and remove and change the cylinder ... take it to home depot and they will tell you what you need or take picture of it then go to homedepot and get the parts first

as for the upside down one, it probably threaded wrong. if it aint broke dont fix it . ( if you have to just remove it and put some plumbing thread lock/ older style cooper pip probably need soldering on it , and re-tighten it to the correct direction ,...or if it aint broke dont fix it . )
