I'm bought a fiber optic cable for my receiver and the package says that it will work for systems that support fiber optic cables, but my it plugs in to my receiver and it works fine. I replace the optical cable with a fiber optic cable. So are both cables the same or something?

I saw some of the blu-ray movies disc covers and either they partially support 1080p (don't know what they mean by partially) or don't support 1080p at all. So whats the point of going all HD if some hit movies on either blue ray or hd dvd don't display at 1080p? I thought they had enough space...

Well mostly the LFE wasn't good and most of the time it was very low. It has nothing to do with my setup because other movies that are in 5.1 Dobly Digital have a much stronger LFE.

There are some movies that I want are only in HD-DVD and some that I want only on Blue-Ray. Nevermind, found one.
