PAC-MAN

Well it's Pac-Man. You probably already know whether you like it or not, but I'll write a review anyway.

Graphics 9 - 4

The first score is how accurate this thing is to the arcade. There are two modes for the game; scroll and full screen. Scroll is very accurate, but isn't the full screen at once. Full screen does not look nearly as good.

The second score is for how this looks compared to other Neo Geo Pocket Color games. As you probably expected, it doesn't compare well.

Sound 10 - 3

It sounds identical to the arcade game. Depending on who you are this is either a good thing or a bad thing (hence 2 scores).

Control 8

Controls on Pac-Man are as simple as ever. Unfortunately the Neo Pocket's stick isn't that great for it. The game came with something to put over you stick to make it play better, but since I got the game used, I don't have it, and don't know if it works well.

Gameplay 9

Pac-Man is, and always has been, great fun. Some people complain that in scroll mode, since you can't see the whole screen, There scores end up being much lower than in full screen mode. I have never had this problem.

Replay 10

This is where the game shines! Since the game doesn't end until level 256 (at least in the arcade) you're probably not going to beat it. -Note to those who want to try beating it: Don't expect an ending. The game crashes after that level.

Overall 9

A great game to add to your Neo Geo Pocket Color library. It doesn't go for that much, so go pick it up!
