96 for old school feel.

98 just because it's awesome.

01 great gameplay.

03 unique gameplay ( for a KOF game ) and hella fast.

96, 98, 00, and 02 are all great.

Anyone else notice that the odd numbered years seem lacking when compared?

PS: All the evens>the odds, bar 99, thats sliiiightly better than 94

I'd have to agree there. Probably the top 3 for me are

96 > 98 > 94

95 = unbalanced
97 = unfinished
99 = unbelievably poor
01 = lame
03 = average

I always liked and played KOF 98 mainly..........though I play 02 more now..

98 is tops... wow it's hard to believe it was almost 10 years ago when it came out. i feel old.

98 is classic, but i played a ton of 03 when it came out on xbox so really like that one too.

I like : DM : KoF '98 & 2k2

I dislike : KoF 2k3 gameplay but I like charas' sprites.

96, and it owes so much to being one of my favorites just for the music. This is the one I picked.

98 is very close in second place.

00's in third. Either that or 03.

'98 for sure, but 95 comes close second for having amazing stages and aura, Omega Rugal is the baddest KOF Boss ever, not the remake from 98, but the Omega Rugal with the Mark in the Back and the Obvious cybernetic hand.

Of course everyone will say 98 or 99. I gotta go with the one that started my journey into a KOF fan, and that was 96. It was just an awesome experience......Then 97 :oh_no: .......But I gave 98 a chance and it made me love thseries all over again


But still 97 :oh_no: Bad times, BAD times......
