^ the MD-GEN picture here^ is *not* cut or cropped at the bottem, that's really all the detail there is in the actual game
as you can see from a full screen from the Fusion (Kega) emu
320x224genmddustdragon2is.jpg

I don't need to remind you that the CPS is like a Corvette while the Sega Genesis
is like a Ford Mustang

I don't need to remind you CPS pisses all over Genesis, even though they're both 16-bit machines with 68000 CPUs.

I don't need to remind you that 'arcade perfect' is impossible because of both the difference in horsepower (CPU, graphics) and ROM-size. 32-meg (?) arcade PCB
vs 4-meg cartridge.

Sega actually did a decent job of reprogramming Forgotten Worlds for Genesis. no hate here. I bought two copies of Genesis FW. one I sold, one I kept. played the shit out of it. never knew what the arcade was like until many years later.

only sucky thing about the Genesis version was, two levels were completely cut out. the arcade had 9 levels, the Genesis had only 7.

but, unlike the more colorful PC-Engine Super-CD-ROM2 ~ TurboDuo version, the Sega version retained two player simultaneous gameplay, AND parallax scrolling backgrounds.

So you admit that threads like this will create nothing but arguments, but you still made it. I think that officially makes you a troll.

But what do I know, I am simply an Iraqi peasant and you are a F-16 fighter jet dropping bombs of American justice on my head.

If airraid died would anyone care?

I'm starting to think not even his mother would.

I can't put my finger on it, but those screens look different somehow. Is it me, or does the dragon on the Genesis version look way cooler and more menacing? Another way the Genesis version appears to be superior is that you seem to get way more water.

I'm laughing at a joke that Jeda Doma made.

My how the tables are turned.

A common enemy unites us.

There is hope in this world.

of course they're different.

matter of opinion I guess. but no debating the Arcade is way more detailed.

Another way the Genesis version appears to be superior is that you seem to get way more water.

correction, another way the Genesis version looks inferior is that you get to see more bland water, and less Dragon compared to the arcade.

A Genesis version is inferior to its original arcade counterpart?! STOP THE FUCKING PRESS!

NOBODY CARES. Everybody who has any knowledge of the game knows that the Genesis version is missing levels. We don't need side-by-side comparisions of a dragon's dick to further explain the point.

No one is debating though.

There is nothing to debate. It's like creating a thread that states that snow tires are better for driving in the snow than regular tires.

In Japan it's the other way round. The Japanese Megadrive (Genesis) version of Forgotten Worlds is considered far superior to the original Japanese CPS version.

Because the Megadrive version was released afterwards, Capcom had time to go back and improve the graphics, animation, and music from the original (inferior) CPS game.

As you can see, the Megadrive (Genesis) version is just plain better. Look at how terrible those CPS graphics are. I wouldn't want to play that game, would you?

The arcade is great (but buggy).

Anyway, the grass is far better in the megadrive version, I even asked the pope round for tea the other day and he said,

"Gwarghhs bloooooooor baggn!" which translates as... "Great Tea Mark, shame about the grass on Forgotten Worlds".

So that being said, I thought I would get a second opinion, and asked Airraids Mum what she thought, she replied

"I wish that Fag would tidy his room, its full of tapes of old 80' tv shows and megadrive games!, but the grass is better on transbot on the sega master system if you ask me"

:help:
