hahahah ok, firstly - yes, it looks terrible. The reason I can't even come close to giving this a chance: I lived through shareware days. My ability to play stuff that looks terrible is long gone. That said, I look back at Bloodlust software fondly.


So, maybe some new generation of kids can give this a chance and when they are 40 look back and go "ehhh, it wasn't that bad" knowing in their hearts it was fucking terrible. But no way in hell am I giving it a chance.

Not only that, but I played the hell out of it. Officially registered my copy for $35 and bought every thing they ever made. So, there is some young idiot who will buy and maybe love this game.

in retrospect, that game u posted has a lot of spunk compared to this one even if it is really shitty. If these two games were both kickstarting at the same exact time I'd definitely be at least interested to see what happens with the Bloodlust shit.

Shadow Gang is a one screenshot deal. And the attempt at social relevance or edginess with the "1987" graffito tag and the Kardashian butt is so lame I want to look away

also I am extremely surprised this wasn't made in Game Maker

I would like to see it in motion - it could (and most likely) look like a crappy flash game, but maybe (just maybe) it has some really fluid animation

It basically looks like late 1980's US box/promo art come to life in a game. I could go with it if that was its actual intention for parody value, but I doubt that's the case. Personally I'd go with that angle and run with it. Perhaps do some kind of mashup of bad box art characters that won't get you sued if you opt to sell this rather than release it for free.

I also wish I was buff enough to have abs and pecs on my back.

Anyways, not sure if the OP will see this, but I have to give you kudos for at least trying. My advice to you is not to put the cart before the horse, so get a good demo of the game done and make adjustments based on your own improvements and criticisms from others. Don't talk about porting the game to the Neo if you don't even have a demo completed. If you're going to make this crowd happy and excited, your product has to be stellar. Failing that, just take this as a learning experience and use it to hone your craft to make a better effort for next time. Most great successes start with learning from great failures.

I wish I knew. It is REAL art approved by SNK. It is on a US AOF flyer and Aladdin's Castle poster. I have no idea how this was approved.

I actually scanned mine and made my own shirt from it.
