So let me see if I have this straight. You're telling me -- again! -- that the reason I don't like the show is I don't understand it.

You know what, I'm going to go ahead and continue to not have any respect for your opinion on this matter. I understand the show just fine, and if you think condescending to me is going to win me over, you have another thing coming. If there's one thing I won't abide it's people talking down to me without cause, so kindly fuck off and go argue with someone who's your intellectual equal -- assuming the kindergarten has gotten out by the time you read this.

I'm not trying to win you over. I'm just pointing out that you're an idiot. You can't even follow this conversation, so I know you aren't following the show.

I'm going to go ahead and stand by my intitial assessment of your grasp of the subject matter.

Nice retort with the kindergarten comment. That really cut to the bone. I see I have been outclassed.

Guess what. Being called an idiot by a complete moron isn't an insult. Nice try.

You'll know it's back on when Ninny is giving a list of bulletpoints on everything that sucked about it.

As fun a show as The Walking Dead is to watch, let's call it what it is. Filler to be watched while we wait like meth addicts in withdrawl for new Breaking Bad episodes.

Or new Mad Men, episodes. Mad Men is Dinner - Breaking Bad is desert. Walking Dead is like a bag of cheetos. It's okay and fun, but it has no real value.

I wasn't trying to insult you, I was making an observation. Man you really are bad at this whole comprehension thing.

Well, I guess I can play at your level too. Being called a moron by a complete idiot is not an insult.

You've digressed into insults because you lack the capacity for debate. Then you call ME the moron. Classic.

Thanks, I needed a good laugh. Now scoot along, I'm sure your mom is wondering where you are.

That's it? More than a day to digest and contemplate some semblance of a retort and this is what you come up with? You can stop while you are behind, or just keep digging.

Well there goes my guess of Daryl's brother being the governor, which could've tied together a cool piece of story line.

The cool thing about (seeming) confirmation that Merle won't be the governor is that his story is wide open now.

Except I don't know if he's ready to be hated for his character.

well that was one of the worst episodes i have seen.

it was full of nothing, bad handling of the dead, carelessness, and a semi-iteresting scene with survivors that could have been done a lot better.

i expected more of veteran survivors of the zom-pocalypse.

welcome back?

I'm hearing conflicting things, it's a even split on great episode to meh which is why I'm hesitant to watch it at the moment.

This show really should not have had a "season break", fucking AMC

I'm split on the last episode. It wasn't bad, but needed more zombie killing. Do you think it was really necessary for Rick to kill those two who were just looking for a place to hide out?

the show will pick up as soon as they are on the run again. This farm shit is all character building plot. Clearly it's cheaper to film.

What the hell makes this farm so safe anyways?

Um...no.

They were asking too many questions and digging too hard to get answers out of Rick as to where they were staying. To be honest, they were acting suspicious as fuck and any intelligent person would have seen they weren't really desperate enough to simply need a place to stay. They were all about the looting and stealing and Rick, a cop who's heard lots of guilty people try to lie their way out of a situation, could smell it on them.

Rick was also trying to be respectful of Herschel over the trust that was broken with the farm massacre. If Rick started grabbing survivors off the street recklessly, he'd basically be shitting all over Herschel's wishes as their host. They were trying to get Herschel to come back to his farm, which he let them stay at as a courtesy. The last thing Rick would want to do is start picking up strays they know nothing about along the way.

I really don't see how you, or anyone, could have missed the subtext of the scene. It was one of the few well handled scenes in the episode.

Stuff I liked:

Spoiler:
Daryl refusing to go on another manhunt.

Glen and Rick talking about Maggie in the car.

Carl telling Lori he was hoping he could rescue Sophia.

Andrea casually getting off the truck to retrieve the rotting arm.

The funeral scene where Herschel was in a suit.

The entire barroom conversation between Rick and Herschel.

Glenn not being able to look Rick in the eye after he gunned down the two guys.

Stuff I hated:

Spoiler:
Helen wandering around in a daze. I get it. It's just that this is who the character's been all season-a victim. It's like...I get it. She can't do anything without her abusive husband to tell her what to do. She is a talented actress, but I can't help thinking that there should be more for her to do.

Lori getting in the car accident-I hate this because of the false jeopardy it puts her and the baby in. This kind of crap almost killed Sons of Anarchy during the 3rd season. I hate when babies get 'threatened' in harmless ways in fiction just to make audiences worry. Plus, the scene was completely stupid. Lori's going to grab a map and drive out there? Really? It makes no goddamn sense for everyone to know Herschel's needed and for Maggie not to say 'Lori, stay with the sick girl, I'm going into town to get Herschel.' The scene defied logic and the whole illness was clearly put in place to force Lori into danger. I hated it.

Lori, in general-I can't stand her. I think I hate her more than any character in the show. She's had a couple of moments but generally, she annoys me.

Overall, I'd give the episode a 2.5 out of 5. Good mixed with bad for an entirely average experience with some maddeningly bad parts.

I thought the episode was alright. It had to be that way to help transition the new direction the show will be heading. Also agree with Taiso above. ^
