Conservatives, such as talkshow hosts and the people Dick Jones mentioned. Anyone who listens to Sarah Palin. The fact that Sarah Palin's slut daughter is getting thousands of dollars a day for giving speaches. Blatant hypcorites such as Rush Limbaugh. People who make no fucking sense yet people follow every word, such as Glenn Beck. Fucktards that can't seem to make the correct easy decisions, such as O'Bama. The myth of the American Dream. People who don't believe everyone has an equal chance in life. People who believe things like abortion should be outlawed because their god says so. People that see Islam and terrorism as synonyms. People who hate Mexicans and don't think they should be granted asylum because many of them are drug runners despite the fact that they are selling the drugs to Americans. The blatant drug problem. Conservatives who see academia and make the connection that educated people become democrats and twist this fact to make universities seem like brain washing factories. People who believe this is the greatest country to ever exist - you live here, what else do you think people are going to tell you?

The Spectacle. The fact that most of us are doomed to desk jobs and nothing creative. The school system and the fact that we see learning as what we remember, not how we solve problems.

4Chan. The MPAA who go after downloaders claiming damages despite the fact that the only people who aren't getting money from the sales of DVDs are the suits since no one else usually gets a percentage deal. Current literature. American Apparel. Rednecks.

I hate our laws that dictate morality. Things like prostitution and ingesting whatever substance you want seem like human rights to me.

Sure, if you grow it yourself or whatever. But think a little more. Just the cannabis economy alone creates a lot of violence and murder - people being beheaded in Mexico for botching a deal isn't uncommon. The action of taking a drug - I don't think that's the issue. I think it's how that drug gets to you and what you may do under that influence that lawmakers worry about - not that I think weed impairs cognitive function severely.

Legalize the manufacture of those drugs.

As much as I'd hate to see that day, it probably is a better solution than not doing anything.

Prius drivers?

Well, I think all Prius drivers fit in that category by default. Due to the underpowered pos they chose to drive.

Hybrid cars what a retarded concept. Save money on gas so you can spend it on a new battery pack 6 years later. The whole reduced emissions argument is bullshit too. The exhaust was produced by the carbon belching heavy machinery equipment in China as they sifted through tons of earth to find the shit that went into your battery pack.

Want good gas mileage? Buy a motorcycle.

The murder and violence you talk about comes from the fact that it's illegal. Why the hell would a criminal conduct business honorably when $$$ is all they care about. If they can kill off the competition why the hell not?

Better society comes from better citizens, not better laws.

It obviously does cut down on crime, but can any of the plants that are used to make drugs survive in non tropic /sup tropic environments? If they could be grown on US soil that would provide more farming type jobs.

I understand the concern is that there would be a higher risk of people being high and driving, operating machinery, blah blah blah, but I am not sure that would be the case. I think there would be a higher level of experimenting if those drugs were legalized, but beyond that? Its hard to say.

Regarding plants: Probably not, but then again don't we get all kinds of foreign only produce each and every day? I don't see it as a problem.

Let the idiots kill themselves.

I don't think significantly more people would do drugs. Experiment - maybe.

Re: the growing of illicit plants. Opium poppies are easily grown anywhere, and the newer genetically engineered varieties supposedly have amazing yields as far as the desired alkaloids go. Same for weed.

Coca is really hard to grow out of the Andes however. It's really finnicky about soil ph, nitrogen content, and climate. And even if it grows, the desired alkaloid content might be non existant because the soil might not be suitable for it.

As as legalizing drugs being the end of society, I can say from experience most people don't like hard drugs. Way too many unpleasant side effects. I think you'd have
more users, but not enough to worry about.

I might be misinterpreting your post, but I think you're asking how legalizing drugs would solve the violence spurned by the drug trade. Well, if cannabis, for example, became legal, people in the US could sell it (and yes, you can grow vast amounts of it with the right equipment). Why would someone buy from a shady dealer when they can buy it at the gas station convenience store? It would basically put dealers and distributors out of business from the top down. I hate weed, but I don't think it would cause an increase in car accidents and stuff like that. One possible unintended consequence of legalizing cannabis, though, would be if the distributors decided to "innovate" and started lacing their stuff with harder drugs so that people would buy from dealers instead of stores.

You misinterpreted. I'll blame my poor communication skills. I was basically talking about what you just posted.

Where to start..........
How every immigrant that comes here gets welfare thrown at them while people that live here struggle to get any assistance

One of the few countries that doesn't even support its OWN farmers.

Rather have shit imported than locally made.

The amount of corruption that people don't see in australian politics.

This healthy eating bullshit thats popping up everywhere

Why the fuck we only have a limited number of breakfast cereals...

Thats not even starting to scratch the surface
sigh

I have a few minor disputes. Cetrelink assistance is provided to all Australains provided they are Australian citizens. I'm not familiar with benefits given to foreigners here. What is there? To be honest I'm one of those people that isn't fond of the bonuses given to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander's of our nation.

Our main cereals are produced by Uncle Toby's, Sanitarium and Kellog's. 2 of those are Australian companies. Having more selection would lead to importing more cereals from other nations which contradicts one of your other points.

-Inflation is one of my biggest concerns. I mean we know petrol prices have skyrocketed. I remember 10 years ago paying $5 a ticket at the local cinema as opposed to $20 now. The average wage since then has probably only risen $50.

-I hate how expensive it is to eat healthy.

-I hate bogans, they're fucking everywhere here which leads me to my next point.

-I hate how we are perceived by other nations. I blame it all on the bogans.

People who think that this country is becoming socialist, communist or somehow different than it was for the past 40 years --other than the general improvements that come from gradual modernization as humankind progresses.

a.k.a. ignorance

If the American population became as smart as it could become with the sheer resources it has at its disposal, it would be magnificent to behold. Alas, res ipsa loquitur.

socialism is just an empty word to me

what i can say is that, by mathematical necessity, US citizens will find that their ability to be financially independent will steadily be eroded

trillion dollar deficits for the next decade will make austerity measures a necessity

i guess it's theoretically possible that the government has overestimated the deficits, but in all likelihood they have underestimated them (that's what politics is all about, right?)

people will have to pay more and will get less, the difference must go toward making interest payments on our national debt, that's just simple arithmetic

increasing taxes and cutting benefits will hurt, but it beats the hell out of becoming a third world nation and facing civil unrest

the trick is getting washington to actually apply the cash toward the deficit, and then the debt

i wish it would hurry the hell up already so we could get it over with

at the moment, our leaders are basically a group of drunken consumerist blondes running around in Macy's with daddy's credit cards

Galfordo Reminds me.... Confederacy Apologists.

original canadian TV shows are generally garbage, exceptions exist but generally they are garbage.

NEVER watch a canadian sketch comedy show.

What about Kids in the Hall?

The game of life is rigged.

I prefer Monopoly... Which isn't quite as rigged. Despite the title.

Civil war reenactors. We get it, the hillbillies lost. I wish they'd just call it what it is. LARPing, with fake guns instead of foam swords.

Norton, how come no one ever plays with Auctions when they play Monopoly.

The game sucks with house rules.

Because people fucking never want to play by the fucking rules... They don't even know the rules.

I don't play Monopoly because I hate fighting about the real rules with them... I might let them get away with free parking... But the rest... I hate fighting with them about.

My one house rule is that you can exchange property at any time.
