TNA Impact! Results: 3-6-08

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (Direct link to Caldwell's report). Condensed to in-ring results only.

1 -- KEVIN NASH vs. A.J. STYLES -- street fight

Gotta love the irony of a street fight starting in the ring. Per Angle's instructions, Styles went for Nash's knees in the early going. Nash fended him off, though, and the match moved to the floor. They did the traditional outside-the-ring spot where Nash sent Styles head-first into the PPV poster covering the base of the grandstands.

Back from break, Styles was landing right hand blows to the forehead in the ring. Nash came back with right hands of his own, then dropped Styles with a sidewalk slam for a nearfall. Tenay added more to the main event at the PPV that the winning team tonight gets a five-minute advantage at the PPV. Nash went for a Jackknife powerbomb, but he sold a knee injury. Styles tried to take advantage with a springboard elbow smash, but Nash caught him in mid-air with a chokeslam for the win.

WINNER: Nash in 7:00. Well, I would say it's disappointing to see Styles losing clean to a guy with one wheel and who just put himself over as having 17 knee surgeries, but Styles is a comedy heel character without much credibility right now. (*1/4)

2 -- TNA Destination X gimmick battle royale

The bell sounded and Sonjay Dutt came to the ring looking for donations in his tambourine. He then grabbed Val's hand and gave her a kiss on the hand. Suddenly, Scott Steiner and his freak came out on stage for a closer look. Tenay gave some gossip that Steiner is sending his freak to be ringside for Petey's match against Lethal for the X Division Title at the PPV. Steiner, not involved in the match, eliminated Hernandez and tried to eliminate Young, but Slick Johnson sent Steiner to the showers.

Final Four: Rave, Curry Man, Petey, and Rellik. Curry then eliminated Petey. The winner of this, by the way, gets to add a stipulation to a tag match at the PPV. Curry then flipped Rave over the top rope with the Spicy Rack. So, it's Curry vs. Rellik. They did a spot where Curry flew over the top rope, but he landed on Rave's back so his feet never touched the floor. Back in the ring, Curry clotheslined Rellik over the top rope to the floor to win.

So, in the Curry & Shark Boy vs. Team 3D match at the PPV, Curry Man gets to book a stipulation for the match. Curry then took the mic after the match and spoke in Japanese. Gee, that sounds like Christopher Daniels. Shark Boy then took the mic and said no one cares about that Chinese you're babbling. He said it just so happens that they're facing the two biggest pieces of crap at the PPV, so the stip for the PPV is that if Team 3D loses or can't make weight, then they're gone from TNA for good. Shark Boy did the "What?" chant and Don West, not concerned about objectivity, shouted "Shell ya!" Shark then booked a Fish Market street fight for their PPV match.

WINNER: Curry Man in 6:00. Just another TNA gimmick match. (*)

3 -- SAMOA JOE vs. TOMKO -- First Blood match

They joined the action in progress with Joe smashing Tomko into the announce table. He then tried to use the timekeeper's hammer on Tomko, but Tomko blocked. Joe then chucked Tomko head-first into the ring apron, followed by the ringpost. No blood yet. Tomko came back with a scoop slam onto the entrance ramp, but he missed with a chair shot to the back. Back in the ring, Tomko landed punches to the forehead. No blood.

Joe mounted a comeback with elbow smashes to the gut, but then he ran into a boot to the throat. Tomko grabbed a chair and wedged it in the corner, but Joe put on the brakes. Joe then sent Tomko head-first into the chair. No blood yet. Joe then tossed the chair to Tomko, who caught it and then accepted a kick to the head. Tenay asked what else Joe needs to do to draw blood. Well, he could pull out a gun and shoot him, or scrape him with some barbed wire, or slam him into thumbtacks, or grab some glass and rake his forehead, or even take a spoon and gouge out his eye. Plenty of options. Joe then slapped on a rear naked choke and the ref called for the bell. He awarded the match to Tomko by virtue of Joe having a trickle of blood on his forearm. Tomko laughed in Joe's face for winning on a technicality.

WINNER: Tomko in 8:00. Nothing memorable, but a fine match with silly execution of a gimmick stipulation that induced eye-rolling, not heat. (*1/2)

4 -- JUDAS MESIAS (w/Jim Mitchell) vs. RHINO

The fight moved to the outside in the opening minute. Back in the ring, Judas took control with a hard whip into the corner, followed by a Russian legsweep for a nearfall. Judas then went up top and missed with a splash. Rhino got up and nailed the Gore for the win. After the match, Storm surprised Rhino with a superkick. Storm then talked trash in Rhino's face to close out the segment.

WINNER: Rhino in 3:00. Basic TV match to promote Rhino vs. Storm in Elevation X on Sunday. (1/2*)

5 -- Knockouts champion AWESOME KONG (w/Raisha) vs. LAX's SALINAS

Salinas tried to start things off with kicks to the leg, but Kong smacked her back with a hard clothesline. Kong then placed her boot on the back of Salinas's head and pressed down hard. She finished her off with the Awesome bomb for the win.

WINNER: Kong in 2:00. Squash to set up the Women's title match of Kong vs. ODB vs. Gail at the PPV. (1/2*)

6 -- TNA World Hvt. champion KURT ANGLE vs. CHRISTIAN CAGE -- non-title steel cage match -- only way to win is by escaping the cage

They joined the action in progress with Christian and Angle exchanging mat holds. Angle tried to climb the cage wall, but Christian yanked him down to the mat. Angle then caught Christian off the ropes and chucked him into the cage wall. And now for the other break.

They retuned with Angle gingerly trying to leave the cage through the door, but Christian yanked his foot and brought the action back into the ring. Angle brushed him off and catapulted Christian head-first into the cage wall, but Christian came back with a fallaway DDT. He then followed with an inverted DDT and started climbing the cage wall. Angle yanked him down, but Christian shoved Angle to the mat and landed a top rope splash. Angle tried to come back with an Olympic Slam, but Christian avoided it, only to miss a corner splash and crash into the cage. They battled on top of the cage before Angle landed an Olympic Slam from the cage to the mat.

At 15:00, they teased some spots of both men trying to escape the cage through the door. They did a crazy spot of Christian trying to climb the wall, but Angle locked in the anklelock. Christian escaped, though, by flipping Angle off the ropes to the mat. Christian tried to escape at 17:00, but Angle clipped his knee and pounded on it some more. Angle then tried to climb over the top of the cage, but he spent too much time gloating, which allowed Christian to recover and battle with him on the other side of the cage. Suddenly, both men crashed down to the floor simultaneously. The bell sounded and Earl Hebner stared at the situation unsure of who won. He then raised Christian's arm, giving him the victory.

After the match, Angle cursed Hebner before attacking Christian. Angle's back-ups then threw Christian into the cage and Tomko locked the steel cage. A.J. Styles picked up Christian and helped Angle give him the Olympic Slam inside the cage. Styles then finished off Christian with the Clash. Joe stormed ringside looking for a way into the cage, but no dice. Nash stood there facilitating; doing enough work to make it seem like he was trying, but not enough to do anything. Smartest man in wrestling. Joe kept trying to get inside the cage while Angle locked in the anklelock on Christian. They closed with the image of Angle shouting at Joe and Nash while having the anklelock firmly secured.

WINNER: Christian in 18:00 to give Team Joe the PPV advantage. Heck of a match. Good use of TV time to give the final portion of the match the full stage without commercial interruption. Excellent final imagery with Angle showing intensity in full control of the situation. The show was book-ended by an excellent opening segment and excellent main event. The rest of the show was good, bad, and really ugly filler. (***1/4)

WWE Smackdown Results: 3-7-08

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to Park's report).

1- JOHN MORRISON & THE MIZ & CHAVO GUERRERO vs. JESSE & FESTUS & CM PUNK

That’s an odd pairing on the face side. Festus chased the heels out of the ring as soon as the bell rang. Miz dropped Punk’s throat over the top rope and tagged Chavo in. Chavo got tagged himself, by Punk. Jesse rolled through a hip-toss and landed an arm-drag. Morrison tried to come in to help his team, but Festus stopped that. With a break in the action, the show took a break.

Chavo was in control out of break, working over Jesse after Miz pushed him off the top rope before the break. Jesse fought off Miz and tagged Festus. He used his unorthodox offense on Miz. A big boot got two when Chavo and Morrison broke up the pin. Punk took out Chavo and Jesse flew through the ropes and onto Morrison. In the ring, Festus hit his finisher on Miz for the pin.

WINNERS: Punk & Jesse & Festus at 8:27. Fine six-man, just another way to Festus & Jesse to beat the champs without actually having to win the titles.

2- MVP vs. BATISTA- U.S TITLE MATCH

After a clean break on a lock-up, Batista rolled out of a side head-lock and MVP was not happy. Kick to the gut by Batista, but MVP was able to roll out of the way of another Batista kick. MVP ran again but Batista went to the outside to bring him back in. A drop-toe hold led to some work on the right knee by The Animal. MVP went to the outside, holding his knee as the show went to break.

Batista continued work on the right leg of MVP. It seems like every long match (or every MVP match) on Smackdown follows the same story of working on a body part for ten minutes. The psychology is good but it gets a little tiring seeing the same thing every week. MVP kicked out Batista’s leg from under him, then nailed Batista with a kick to the head. Chin-lock applied by Montel Vontavious Porter. Coach reminded us that MVP doesn’t have to win tonight, Batista does. Thanks Coach. Face-buster by MVP after a thrust to the throat. He took a while covering Batista, which cost him, as he only got a two-count. Another kick to the head by MVP. Just for irony’s sake, MVP began working on BATISTA’S leg. Batista missed a corner charge and went shoulder-first into the post. He went for a third running boot, but this one didn’t connect. Side slam by the big man. That got a near-fall. MVP countered a spinebuster and took Batista down for two. Playmaker attempt got turned into a spinebuster by Big Dave. MVP tried a low blow to no avail. He kicked MVP to the outside and the two began two brawl into the crowd. MVP got in the ring and kicked at Batista to keep him outside. As Batista tried to roll in the ring, referee Jimmy Korderas’s count reached ten.

WINNER: MVP to retain, at 15:11. Not a bad match....quality-wise, somewhere in between their first one from a few weeks back and their last one. Closer to the first one though.

3- KANE vs. CHUCK PALUMBO

Seated dropkick by Kane. Big running clothesline by Chuck, followed by some hard right hands. Cole called this a “statement-making match for Palumbo.” Short clothesline got two by Chuck. Kane began his comeback with right hands of his own and a few corner clotheslines. Kane went to the top, but Palumbo brought him down. Kane didn’t stay down for long as he shook off some headbutts and chokeslammed Palumbo to end things.

WINNER: Kane at 3:16.

4- JAMIE NOBLE vs. BIG SHOW

Noble punched away at Show’s mid-section but Show just shoved him face-first into the mat. As Noble was seated in the corner, he kicked Show right in the groin to draw a DQ.

WINNER: Show at :44.

Predictably, Show continued beating on Noble and Noble began coughing up blood from some hard shots to the ribs. Referee Charles Robinson finally got Big Show to back off. Show got a mic and said while people may not like him, there’s a lot of people, including those in the locker room, who don’t like Floyd. Show once again asked Floyd if $20 million was worth his career.

5- EDGE & CURT HAWKINS & ZACK RYDER vs. UNDERTAKER- HANDICAP MATCH

Hawkins tried to run from Taker to start, but the Dead Man was having none of that. Ryder was next and he was cornered by Undertaker as well. A simple glare chased the remaining two challengers off the apron and onto the floor. Taker tried to force Ryder to tag Edge, but Edge jumped off the apron again. Taker went for a running boot on Ryder in the corner, but Edge pulled his teammate out of harm’s way. After some offense by Ryder, he tagged in Hawkins. They tagged on and off until Edge reached out and expressed his desire to finally enter the match. He waited too long though as Taker’s arm shot up and grabbed Edge’s throat. A DDT planted Edge. Corner clothesline by Undertaker, who then went Old School. Snake Eyes for one of the EdgeHeads, then a big boot. Edge tagged in but was put down and Taker was going for his choke submission. At that point, Edge’s buddies interfered to break it up. They got double-chokeslammed for their troubles. While that was going on, Edge was setting up for the spear, which he hit and pinned his WrestleMania opponent.

WINNERS: Edge & Hawkins & Ryder at 5:30. Interesting finish. I sure didn’t expect it.

Taker pointed to the WM sign then did the throat-slash gesture as Edge raised the title over his head to end the show.

TNA Destination X PPV Results: 3-9-08

Real-time results courtesy of PWTorch.com (link to Keller's ongoing report).

1 -- ROCK 'N' RAVE INFECTION (Jimmy Rave & Lance Hoyt w/Christy Hemme) vs. LAX (Homicide & Hernandez w/Celinas) vs. MOTOR CITY MACHINEGUNS

R&R members did some shout-outs concert-style, with Rave as usual getting the town wrong, calling it Nashville. West noted the Guns were the TNA Tag Team of the Year last year, but they've never worn the gold. He said LAX want the belts back. The Guns got the crowd riled up with some cool double-team moves early. Tenay said fans could vote online for whether they believe Cornette should overturn the Christian win over Angle in last Thursday's Impact cage match. The voting was 54-46 in favor of keeping the decision as is. At 2:00 they went to a series of dives to ringside. Rock 'n' Rave got in sustained offense at 6:00. Chaos broke out at 8:00. West went absolutely nuts after Homicide flip dove through the ropes onto three opponents at ringside. Hernandez meanwhile gave Rave the Border Toss for the win.

WINNERS: LAX in 9:00.

STAR RATING: **1/4 -- Chaotic at times, good pacing for a short opener throughout, with good highspots to get the crowd into the show.

2 -- BLACK MACHISMO (w/So Cal Val) vs. PETEY WILLIAMS (w/Rhaka Khan)

Machismo went for an early Lethal Combination. Petey also went for the Canadian Destroyer. Neither pulled it off successfully. Khan got in Machismo's face at ringside, slowing his return to the ring after hitting Petey with a sledgehammer off the top rope. Petey recovered in the mean time and took control of the match. Petey locked on a chinlock. Machismo broke free, but second later Petey took Machismo over with a slingshot hurancanrana over the top rope to the floor. Nice spot, very well executed. They replayed it from two angles. At 7:00 Petey put Lethal in the 619 position and dropkicked him from behind. He signalled for the CD. Val looked on concerned from ringside. Lethal blocked the Destroyer. Petey powerbombed Lethal. Lethal fired right back with a release full nelson suplex for a near fall that popped the crowd. Another nice sequence. Lethal climbed outside the ring and went for a springboard dropkick, but Petey moved. Petey then applied a sharpshooter mid-ring. West predicted a tapout. Petey released it to set up the CD, but Lethal countered with a Lethal Combination. When Lethal climbed to the top rope, Steiner ran to ringside as Khan distracted the ref, and Steiner shoved Lethal to the mat. Petey then hit the CD for the apparent win. So Cal Val yanked the ref by the leg before he could count to three. Khan went after Val at ringside. Val backed up the ramp. Sonjay Dutt ran out to protect her. Lethal remained KO'd in the ring. Petey got the ref turned back around. Lethal surprised Petey with a small package for the win. Afterward, Dutt stepped between Lethal and Val and raised their arms. It's good to see a storyline brewing for Dutt where he's the third-wheel whose jealously is likely to get the best of him eventually.

WINNER: Lethal in 11:00.

STAR RATING: *** -- Really good match. The near falls were believable. Great counters. Great teases throughout for their big signature spots.

3 -- ERIC YOUNG & KAZ vs. RELLIK & BLACK REIGN

Kaz opened with some offense for two minutes, the tagged in Young to appaluse from the fans. Young kicked Reign between the legs, or "right in the nads" as West indelicately put it. Young bailed out, tagged in Kaz in the process. Kaz remained on offense. He suplexed the interfering Rellik while simultaneously back bridging Reign for a two count. Cool spot. The heels double-teamed Kaz to take control at 4:00. Rellik hit a big boot to Kaz and settled into a cobra clutch on the mat. Young got a hot-tag at 7:00. When Rellik sat up, though, Young panicked and bailed out. West said Young "didn't have the stones" to stay in there. He ran to the back, leaving Kaz alone. Kaz eventually made a comeback, but when he looked up to make a tag, Young was nowhere in sight. Superhero music played and a masked, caped Young walked out. Tenay's voice cracked with a "What?!?" He tapped into his alter-ego and beat up both Reign and Rellik. He hit a top rope bodyblock for a near fall on Reign. Rellik clotheslined Young and then climbed to the second rope. Young shoved Reign into Rellik, then stacked both of them onto his shoulders and dumped them over with a "double Death Valley Driver" in a display of, well, "superhero strength." He then pinned Reign.

WINNERS: Young & Rellik in 10:00.

STAR RATING: *1/4 -- Fun storyline advancement. A bit silly, but in small doses, it's fine mid-card content.

4 -- GAIL KIM vs ODB vs KONG -- KNOCKOUT TITLE

Kong overpowered both ODB and Kim early. Kim legdropped Kong as ODB held over over the top rope. Kong fell to the floor. ODB and Kim then battled, exchanging leverage pin attempts. Kim got the better of ODB and then climbed to the top rope. Instead of diving at ODB, she turned to dive at Kong on the floor. Kong caught her. ODB then dove onto both of them, prompting a "TNA, TNA" chant to break out. ODB and Kim returned to the ring and fought with Kong recovering at ringside. ODB gave Kim an overhead suplex, then she patted her breasts. Kim came right back with a big spear. She punched ODB repeatedly in the corner, but ODB lifted her. Kim escaped and yanked ODB to the floor. Kong then entered the ring and grabbed Kim by her hair, yanking her around. She collided with her and knocked her hard to the mat. Kim came back with a crucifix attempt. Kong blocked it and went for her spinning backfist. Kim blocked it and gave Kong a jawbreaker with her knees. Kong fired back with a hard clothesline and threw Kim shoulder-first into the ringpost. ODB returned to the ring and low-dropkicked Kong's ankle. Kong ducked an ODB enzuigiri attempt and lifted her by the throat and slammed her to the mat. Kim returned to the ring and she and ODB took turns punching Kong. Kong remained on her feet. ODB pulled out her flask and took a swig. Kim did the same. Tenay said, "You gotta be kidding?" Kim winced at the taste. They double missile dropkicked Kong to take her down. ODB and Kim broke up each other's pin attempts, though, then went after each other. Kim clotheslined ODB to the mat. Kong lifted Kim, but ODB schoolboyed Kong for a near fall. It would have been a tough call as Kim was on top of Kong, also, during the pin attempt. Kong gave Kim an Implant Buster. Kon then splashed Kim of the second rope. ODB dove over Kong to break up the pin. It was really awkward, as Kong still had Kim covered and Kim's shoulders were still down, but the ref just stopped counting. Kong stood up, absorbed two ODB chops to her chest, and gave ODB an Implant Buster. Kong went for a splash off the second rope, but ODB moved. ODB attempted a comeback. She dove off the second rope with a Thesz press for a two count. Saeed tripped ODB. ODB grabbed her by her scarf. Kong pulled ODB into the ring and gave her an Awesome Bomb for the win.

WINNER: Kong in 12:00 to retain the Knockout Title.

STAR RATING: ***1/4 -- In some ways, just excellent. There was a little bit of bad timing here and there and that really bad pin break-up by ODB late, but all in all, a strong showing again by these women.

4 -- TEAM 3D vs. SHARK BOY & CURRY MAN

Earl Hebner explained to Team 3D that they have to make weight or be fired. Ray asked the fans if they want to see them fired from TNA. The crowd cheered. Ray said they're not fat, but the fans in Virginia are. He pointed at various fans and called them fat, then insisted they'd make weight. Devon made weight. Rey did some deep breathing and then gingerly stepped onto the scale. He couldn't bare to look down at the number. The ref announced that he made it. Ray celebrated. The crowd cheered and booed. Johnny Devine jumped onto the ring apron and handed them snack cakes because they were free to eat empty-calorie junk food again. Curry and Shark schoolboyed Team 3D from behind for a quick pair of two counts. Curry and Shark went on an early flurry of offense. They double-dropkicked Ray out of the ring. Team 3D tried to regroup at ringside. They walked past the "fish market" set up in the wide entrance aisle. Curry and Shark followed them up the ramp. Shark grabbed a big fish to use as a weapon. For the next several minutes, Team 3D took a beating with various gimmicks, including Curry using a rod and reel to literally fishhook Ray and reel him in. Ray also took a fish net over his head. Ray began throwing fish into the crowd. Ray threatened to throw fish at the announcers as everyone around there scrambled. Devine joined in at ringside and wrapped a fish net around Shark Boy. Ray, meanwhile, brought a huge fish into the ring as Devon held Curry's legs apart. Ray flicked his tongue on the mouth of the fish, then swung it into Curry's crotch. With Curry hung upside down in the corner, Ray hit him with an oar. Devon used the fishing pole as a weapon. The crowd chanted, "We want tables!" Devon missed a diving headbutt, and so did the director. Shark Boy snuck back and hit Team 3D with a flying clothesline. Shark knocked Ray off the top rope with a fish. Curry set up Ray for a fish shot between his legs. Shark dove off the second rope with the fish. Curry dove off the top rope with a crossbody on Devon for a near fall. Shark gave Devon a stunner for a near fall. As Curry hit Ray with a trash can, Devine entered the ring with powder. He threw it, but it hit Ray in his face. Shark then gave Devine a stunner. Shark tossed Devine over the top rope through a table at ringside. Devon gave Shark and Curry a clothesline. Ray mistakenly 3D's his owner partner Devin, and Shark opportunistically made the cover.

WINNERS: Curry & Shark in 12:00.

STAR RATING: ** -- Hard to rate a match as zany and gimmicky as that. It was what it was, and effective at what it was trying to be.

5 -- ROBERT ROODE (w/Peyton Banks) vs. BOOKER T (w/Traci Brooks)

Roode stalled, resisting being hooked to the strap before the match. Booker dished out a beating early. Roode came back at 3:00 and got sustained offense. When the ref went down at 5:00, Traci beat up Banks at ringside and took away a pair of handcuffs she had. Roode gave Booker a low blow to get the cuffs himself. He KO'd Booker with them and scored the pin.

WINNER: Roode in 6:00.

STAR RATING: *1/4 -- What a letdown that was. Not a lot to it at all.

6 -- JAMES STORM vs. RHINO - Elevation X Match

Storm came out first and climbed to the top. Rhino came out second. Storm got cold feet and climbed down, shaking his head. Rhino climbed down and met Storm in the aisle and began a brawl with him there. They brawled for a couple of minutes with tables and trash cans in the ring. Storm set up a table. Rhino came back and gave him a belly-to-belly. Jackie ran up to Rhino and grabbed him to stop him from executing a Gore. Rhino turned toward her. Jackie climbed the scaffold. Rhino followed her up. Jackie climbed down and Storm climbed up. He kneeled. Rhino dared Storm to crawl to midring. Rhino sat down as Storm crawled over to him. Rhino poked him in the eye and rammed his head into the scaffolding. They cut to shots of fans looking concerned for their safety. They both stood up and exchanged punches, then gingerly fell to the platform. Storm, with a beer in hand, slipped under the platform and rested on the scaffolding in the middle. The fans told Rhino where Storm was, which was cheesy since Rhino could have easily checked himself. Rhino pulled a piece of the platform and revealed Storm. Storm hung from his hands and legs and Rhino kicked him off. Storm fell to the mat and he landed on a table. It was a pretty clean landing. His feet hit the table first, but he landed pretty flat otherwise. Tenay called for EMTs. West said nobody can fall like that and be okay. EMTs came out with a stretcher and put a neck brace on him.

WINNER: Rhino in roughly 7:00.

STAR RATING: * -- It was pretty bad. Without someone of Styles's agility, they really were limited in what they could do with this format. It was cheesy and uncomfortable and didn't live up to the hype because both guys (sensibly) were so cautious up there. The pre-climb brawl helped give the fans some action between these two.

7 -- SAMOA JOE & KEVIN NASH & CHRISTIAN CAGE vs. A.J. STYLES & KURT ANGLE & TOMKO

Joe & Nash & Christian had a five minutes three-on-two advantage. When Styles and Tomko stalled at ringside, Joe, Nash, and Christian went after them. With 30 seconds left in the five minute countdown, Joe stepped to ringside and paced while waiting for Angle to come out. Angle charged toward Joe. They brawled at ringside as the crowd chanted, "Joe, Joe, Joe." It settled into a standard six-man tag match. Nash got a hot-tag at 10:00 and cleaned house, giving Tomko a big boot and Angle a Jackknife. Styles hit Nash with a dropkick to his leg. Nash held his knee and writhed in pain. Nash tagged in Joe who took Tomko and Styles down with successive elbows and then a flying leg lariat to Tomko. Joe lifted Styles for a Musclebuster. Tomko gave him a low blow. Styles gave Joe a Pele kick. Angle gave Joe an Olympic slam for a near fall. Christian surprised Angle with an Unprettier. Nash tossed Styles by the neck over the top rope to the floor, then followed him out there. Tomko clotheslined Joe, but Joe yelled and no-sold it, then applied a rear naked choke. Tomko tapped out. Tenay pushed the Joe vs. Angle title match at Lockdown next month in Boston, Mass.

WINNERS: Christian & Nash & Joe in 12:00.

STAR RATING: ***1/4 -- Good six-man tag match, but it didn't feel substantial enough to be a PPV main event.

WWE RAW Results: 3-10-08

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to Caldwell's report). Condensed to in-ring results only.

1 -- THE UNDERTAKER vs. MARK HENRY -- Casket match

Less than a minute into the match, Taker called for the casket to be opened, but Henry kicked Taker away. The match moved to the floor where Taker slammed Henry into the guardrail. Taker then slammed Henry into the casket, but opted to throw him back into the ring. Henry waited for Taker to make his way back into the ring before landing a one-arm slam and splash off the ropes. He called for the casket and tried to drag Taker across the ring, but Taker grabbed his arm and locked in the triangle choke. Henry tapped, but there is no tapping out in a casket match. Henry did the bleeding from the mouth gimmick, then Taker stomped Henry across the ring and into the casket before slamming the lid shut to win.

WINNER: Undertaker in 7:00. Basic execution of a gimmick match. Nothing fishy or elevated here. (*1/4)

2 -- FINLAY vs. MR. KENNEDY

Finlay, still with shillelagh in hand, heard the bell sound to start a match, but then he took the shillelagh and smashed Kennedy in the gut to cause a DQ.

After the DQ bell sounded, Finlay smashed the crap out of Kennedy's ribs and face. Referees tried to restrain Finlay, but Finlay yanked Kennedy back into harm's way to dish out more punishment. Interesting crowd reaction, as they popped initially, then got quiet as Finlay continued to dish out punishment. After refs appeared to have the situation under control, Finlay yanked Kennedy away from the refs and smashed him in the head with a shillelagh blow. After landing the KO blow, Finlay walked up the entrance ramp to cheers.

WINNER: Kennedy via DQ at 0:05. Well, the message got across to JBL and the segment was better than last week's confusing promo exchange. I just question why Kennedy of all people to take the beating and cry like a baby. I'm sure we'll find out later. (n/a)

3 -- IC champion JEFF HARDY vs. CHRIS JERICHO -- Intercontinental Title match

Things were a little tense early on, then Jericho landed a slap and Hardy returned fire. Things got physical in a hurry, leading to a tackle-fest that spilled to the floor. Back in the ring, Jericho tackled Hardy again before knocking him to the floor again. They cut to a break.

They returned with Jericho working on Hardy's neck until he missed with a corner splash and fell to the floor. Hardy then nailed a double-foot dropkick through the ropes. On the outside, he tried running the guardrail for a splash onto Jericho, but Jericho shoved him hard into the announce table in mid-air. That looked nasty. Back in the ring, Jericho nailed a splash, but Hardy kicked out just before three.

Jericho kept working on Hardy, but he came back with Whisper in the Wind at 8:00. Jericho answered with a Northern Lights suplex, but Hardy bridged out and rolled up Jericho for a close two count. Hardy went for a leaping dropkick in the corner, but Jericho moved in time. Jericho then went up top for a splash, but Hardy rolled through and got another nearfall. Jericho then nailed the Twist of Fate of his own and a lionsault, but Hardy kicked out just before a three count. Nice nearfall. Jericho actually got a chant in his favor for once, then Jericho blocked a move and went for the Walls of Jericho. Hardy rolled him up, though, and just did miss a three count. Jericho went for a step up enziguiri, but Hardy ducked and nailed the Twist of Fate. He went up top for the Swanton Bomb, but Jericho moved just in time. What action. Jericho waited for Hardy to get up, then he nailed the code breaker. Jericho quickly covered Hardy and scored a three count to win the match and the title.

WINNER: Chris Jericho in 12:00 to capture the IC Title. Excellent TV match. A perfect example of how to apply a storyline to a match. They started the match with a little personal exchange to follow up on last week, then Jericho backed up his non-title victory two weeks by one-upping Hardy once again. I'd love to see a best-of-seven series for the IC Title after Mania. (***1/4)

4 -- TRIPLE H vs. KANE

Hunter landed a jaw-rocking punch, which Kane shook off before simply staring at him with that sideways look. Hunter backed off, then Kane smashed him in the face. Hunter came back with an elbow to the face, but Kane dumped him over the top turnbuckle to the floor. Back in the ring, Kane landed a boot to the face, but Hunter came back with a spinebuster. Hunter then went for the Pedigree, but Kane landed a back drop. At 5:00, Orton walked out on stage for a closer look. Kane went for a chokeslam, but Kane snuck a peek at Orton. Hunter then went for the Pedigree, but he took his eyes off Kane and looked at Orton. Kane countered with a sidewalk slam before going up top. Hunter blocked with a kick to the gut, though, and nailed the Pedigree for the pin and the win. After the match, Hunter pointed to the Mania sign, then flexed while Orton slowly held up the WWE Title belt.

WINNER: Hunter in 6:00. There was no crowd heat during the first four minutes, as the crowd just sat through about 25 minutes of nothingness after the finish to Jericho-Hardy. Not a good sign when one-third of the main event at WrestleMania is getting the same crowd reaction as a throwaway tag match. (3/4*)

5 -- MELINA (w/Women's champ Beth Phoenix) vs. MARIA (w/Candice Michelle)

A minute into the match, Santino Marella walked out on stage holding a copy of Playboy. Santino approached the ring and got on the apron holding up the magazine. Santino then ripped it apart, being careful not to expose the contents to the camera. Melina then took advantage with her sweeping leg drop for the win. After the match, Candice shoved Santino, but Beth ran over to Candice and shoved her down hard. Santino then raised Beth and Melina's arms in victory to preview the BunnyMania match. Candice then checked on Maria while the heels gloated.

WINNER: Melina in 2:00. Nothing happening here. Again, I ask why this show is three hours. The show has come to a screeching halt since the IC Title match. (1/4*)

6 -- World Hvt. champion EDGE (w/Hawkins and Ryder) vs. C.M. PUNK -- non-title match

Edge landed a back elbow smash and Ross informed the Raw viewers that Edge is engaged to the Smackdown G.M., which reeks of collusion. Long-time Raw viewers will have fond memories of the McMahon-Helmsley era. At 2:00, Edge took Punk to the apron and went for a spear to the floor, but Punk caught him with a stiff kick to the side of the head. He then came off the ropes with a springboard dive for a nearfall. Punk landed a running knee in the corner, but Edge blocked the bulldog with a DDT in center ring for a nearfall. Suddenly, Hawkins and Ryder jumped on the apron when Punk went for Go 2 Sleep. It served as a distraction that allowed Edge to nail Punk with a spear for the pin and the win.

WINNER: Edge in 4:00. OK match. Just a chance for Punk to show his face on Raw TV, but not enough to get anyone excited about ECW tomorrow night. Or any night. (*)

7 -- SHAWN MICHAELS vs. JOHN CENA

They locked up and Ross went back to last April when Cena and Michaels went 56 minutes in London in the match of the year. Michaels slowed things down with a front facelock to give the cameramen plenty of opportunity to get shots of the WrestleMania banner hanging above the arena. Michaels suddenly went for the inverted figure four, but Cena immediately countered into the STFU. Michaels quickly escaped, though, and recovered on the floor before they cut to a break.

They returned with Michaels in an epic struggle to escape from the deadly vice of a John Cena shoulder lock. Michaels did so, then landed a swinging neck breaker. He sold a left arm injury, then Cena and Michaels traded right hand blows. Cena ran over Michaels with a series of shoulder blocks, but Michaels chucked him over the top rope to the floor. Time stood still as Cena recovered, the ref went to one knee to talk to Cena before starting a count, and Michaels recovered in the ring. Back in the ring, Michaels applied a knee-bending submission. He then went for a figure four, but Cena countered with a roll-up for a nearfall. Cena attempted an FU, but Cena did a spot where his knee buckled and Michaels took his knee out from behind.

Cena made his comeback on one good leg that was booed. He then called for the Five Knuckle Shuffle and delivered an exasperated attempt. He went for the FU again, but Michaels countered into a roll-up. Michaels then landed a smashing clothesline out of the corner and both men recovered on the mat. Michaels then fired up with offense at 13:00 and the announcers said it's what he talked about earlier about getting into a zone. Michaels went up top and connected with an elbow smash. He then tuned up the band, but Cena countered the superkick into an STFU attempt. Michaels blocked, though, and struggled into an inverted figure four in center ring. Cena fought the hold and crawled toward the bottom rope to break the hold. The fans booed the rope break at 15:00.

Michaels dropkicked Cena off the ring apron to the floor, then he measured Cena for a moonsault from the apron to the floor and connected. Both men got up, then traded blows. Michaels smacked Cena into the ringpost, then Orton suddenly appeared and smashed Michaels and Cena from behind. Clunky spot. The ref called for the bell. Orton then took a chair into the ring with Cena. He measured Cena for an RKO into the chair, but Cena blocked and dropped Orton ass-first onto the seat of the chair. Cena then lifted up Orton, nearly lost his balance, and nailed an FU in center ring. Cena's music hit and he sold a knee injury.

WINNER: No Contest in 16:00. The crowd and I'm sure many viewers at home were burnt out by this point. The match was fine, but I question giving away a marquee singles match with little fanfare that has the potential to water down the big WrestleMania matches. (**1/4)

They cut backstage where Triple H was smiling along watching the monitor. He said it's been an entertaining two weeks with Cena and Orton running the show. Hunter, looking into the camera, said it will be Cena and Orton in the same ring next week. He said it won't be one-on-one, though. Hunter said it will be Orton and Cena together. He said they'll be teamed up against...the entire Raw roster. Hunter smiled, then they cut back to the ring where Cena was walking around the ring with a frown on his face. Apparently he didn't see Hunter's promo, or did he? Cena posed in the ring while Orton grimaced on the mat. End show at seven minutes past the top of the hour.

CHRIS JERICHO IS THE NEW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:

And the reason why Jericho is the new IC Champ? Jeff Hardy has been suspended 60 days for running afoul of the WWE Wellness Policy. He will NOT be in the MitB match at Wrestlemania either.

Wrestlemania 24 matches

The following matches have been announced for WrestleMania 24:

-Randy Orton vs. Triple H vs. John Cena in a three-way for the WWE Title.

-Edge vs. Undertaker for the World Hvt. Title.

-Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather.

-Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels with Flair’s career on the line.

-Maria and Candice Michelle vs. Beth Phoenix and Melina.

-Chris Jericho vs. vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. Carlito vs. MVP (and three wrestlers to be determined) in a Money in the Bank ladder match.

-Batista vs. Umaga.

-Finlay vs. JBL in a Belfast Brawl.

Powell’s POV: There were only two spots left in the Money in the Bank match before Hardy was suspended, as MVP qualified over the weekend. I expect Matt Hardy to take one of those spots and C.M. Punk would be a logical pick for the other spot, but I haven’t heard anything official. As I mentioned earlier today, I wouldn’t be surprised if Rob Van Dam gets a phone call, but all of this is purely speculation. The Finlay vs. JBL match had the Belfast Brawl stipulation added last night during Raw.

ECW on Sci-Fi Results: 3-11-08

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to Caldwell's full report). Condensed to in-ring results only.

1 -- WWE tag team champions THE MIZ & JOHN MORRISON vs. TOMMY DREAMER & COLIN DELANEY -- WWE Tag Title match -- Extreme Rules

Less than a minute into the match, Dreamer clotheslined Morrison to the outside, then Miz got mixed into the battle. Suddenly, Delaney went flying over the top rope with a cannonball dive onto the champs. That didn't get near as much heat as I would have expected. Back in the ring, the champs cornered Delaney, but Delaney ducked a double-team and they crashed into each other. Dreamer then handed Colin a Kendo stick and whacked the champs in the gut and back. Dreamer then landed trashcan lid shots to the head. Colin did Dreamer's ECW pose, but walked into a hard uppercut from Morrison. The champs then smashed up Colin with weapon shots and he cried like Mr. Kennedy. Dreamer blocked a double-team move, then gave Colin a Chicago Bears helmet. They set up the Team 3D diving headbutt and Colin landed a helmet shot to the groin on Morrison. The announcers were speechless.

Suddenly, Miz missed a running elbow smash and Dreamer landed the basement dropkick on both men with a trash can involved. They scored stereo nearfalls, then Dreamer slid a table into the ring. The kids were screaming as they set up a four-man Tower of Doom powerbomb spot out of the corner at 7:00. Colin then tried to channel Spike Dudley with the Acid Drop, but Morrison shoved him to the floor. Morrison then landed a moonsault from the apron to the floor and used a trashcan on the way down. With Colin out of commission on the floor, Miz and Morrison chucked Dreamer through the underside of the table, which was propped up in the corner. They covered Dreamer for the win.

WINNERS: Miz & Morrison in 9:00 to retain the WWE Tag Titles. A watered-down hardcore match that was simple enough for a mainstream WWE audience, where I thought I was watching Impact at times. Basically a nod to the WWE Hardcore Title matches of years gone by. It didn't even advance the storyline, as I thought it set back Delaney, who gave away lot here. His gimmick has been built on slow progression, and this was too much for one night if they weren't going to change the belts. (*1/2)

2 -- GREAT KHALI vs. STEVIE RICHARDS

Khali landed a big boot and pinned Richards. Styles speculated whether they just saw the fate of Chavo Guerrero. Of note, Styles is back to being produced like he's in a library and the librarian is standing over his shoulder. Immediately after the match, Mike Knox hit the ring and tore Stevie apart. He gave him the corkscrew facebuster and the fans booed him.

WINNER: Khali in 10 seconds. Again, I don't get it. Just like Mr. Kennedy, they've done a complete 180 on Richards's push. At least Knox got heat, which means either fans still care about Richards or they really, really hate Knox's "3:10 to Yuma" goatee. (n/a)

3 -- KOFI KINGSTON vs. DEUCE (w/Domino and Cherry)

The bell sounded and there was a "Kofi" chant. Good sign. Kofi flipped Deuce to the apron, but Deuce caught him throat-first across the top rope. Deuce then did this zany head scissors submission across the top rope. Kofi made a comeback with his boom-boom leg drop, then tried to monkey flip Deuce out of the corner, but Deuce held onto the ropes to block. Deuce tried to capitalize, but Kofi met him with the Jamaican buzzsaw roundhouse kick for the win.

WINNER: Kofi in 3:00. Slowly, but surely, Kofi is going to get there. This is a 20-week project, not a 2-week project, so it's going to take time to go through the WWE circuit where the live audiences get a look at his character and pick up on what he's doing in the ring. (3/4*)

4 -- FESTUS (w/Jesse) vs. ELIJAH BURKE

They cut out Festus's shine and went straight to Burke on the offensive with a mat hold, so you know this is going short. Burke worked on the left arm, then nailed a hot-shot dropkick for a nearfall. Festus fired back with a rear corner splash and leaping shoulder tackle. He then landed the step-up boot to the face and finished him off with the modified F-5 for the win.

WINNER: Festus in 3:00. Again, I don't get it. They just never can decide whether to push Burke or use him as fodder. He has a good look, a decent promo, and can wrestle a good match, which is a valuable three-part combo considering how thin the WWE roster is. (1/2*)

5 -- C.M. PUNK vs. BIG DADDY V (w/Matt Striker) -- Money in the Bank qualifying match

Shelton said it's mission impossible for Punk tonight. The gold standard said he could take either one of them, but he'd like to see Big Daddy V in the MITB match to change things up. Daddy landed the Black Hole Slam in the first minute, but he didn't make a cover. Daddy continued to dominate Punk, while the fans tried to rally behind the hometown star. Shelton talked himself up on commentary, then Daddy missed with a corner splash and Punk nailed successive knees to the face. Punk teased the G2S, but he couldn't get Daddy off the ground. He tried again, but Daddy collapsed right on his back. Yikes. Punk rolled to the apron, then he managed to slip Daddy to the floor. The ref then applied the fastest ten-count in WWE history and Punk won by count-out.

Post-match: everyone jumped for joy, including Punk. "You gotta be kidding me. You call that a win?" Shelton asked. And to send everyone home happy, Striker jumped into the ring to attack Punk, but Punk gave him the Go 2 Sleep. Nice sell from Striker, who tipped over like a tree in the forest. Punk then posed for the crowd and stared down Shelton to close the show.

WINNER: Punk via count-out in 3:00. Boy, would that have been impressive if Punk got Daddy up for the G2S, like Cena on Big Show a few years ago. Alas, Punk might need to do some more squats and hang cleans before he pulls that off. They achieved the desired result of Punk qualifying for the match and giving everyone a happy ending to the show, but it was silly to see Punk rejoicing after a count-out win. Shelton came across a thousand times better than Chavo on guest commentary a few weeks ago, but to be fair to Chavo, he wasn't produced to stand out on commentary. Shelton has improved significantly behind a microphone. (3/4*)

The brawl that occurred at the end of the Big Show, Floyd Mayweather weigh in segment on Raw last night, erupted in to a full blown shoot according to several sources.

The scheduled fight between wrestlers and the boxing crew went sour when Mayweather's boys went into business for themselves and tried to legitimately show their toughness to the wrestlers.

Although camera shots were poor, the WWE stars gave back to the posse and one wrestler commented "they got their asses handed to them." The company was said to be 10 seconds from a legitimate breakdown happening on live TV.

Shane McMahon even got knocked down in the commotion, which caused some tension backstage.

Although it was basically a shoot, nobody is holding grudges and it was reportedly all a spirit of the moment thing

good to see punk back in the MITB. i'd like to see him take it all too. he was great in it last year though kennedy won. but after a year of training and working i think it's his time for the career boost it'd give. though i'd also like to see jimmy wang yang's success story as well.

- You would be forgiven for thinking Vince McMahon may be upset about Jeff Hardy's inability (once again) to follow the company's drug policy, but that apparently is not the case.

One source has claimed that McMahon has been waiting for an incident like this to happen and that suspension of one of the company's biggest stars puts WWE in a strong position if Congress or anyone else questions the company's drug testing policy.

Hardy is now destined to mid-card status for life, another source claims, with Vince McMahon not even willing to contemplate future creative plans for the former Intercontinental Champion at this time. The same source also claims that Hardy has cost himself a Spring run with the WWE Title.

Love or hate the guy, Vince McMahon is going to look good from all of this and sends a message that no one is immune from the Wellness Policy.

TNA Impact! Results: 3-13-08

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to Caldwell's full report). Condensed to in-ring results only.

1 -- CURRY MAN vs. PETEY WILLIAMS (w/Rhaka Kahn) -- Ultimate X-Scape qualifying match

The match started with a pose-down in center ring. Curry kept trying to turn it into a dance-off, which greatly excited the tourists in the building. Petey then knocked Curry to the outside and landed his slingshot huracanrana on the floor. Back in the ring, Curry made a comeback with a dropkick at 3:00. He followed with a clothesline and hip attack in the corner before going up top for a cross body block. Of course, Rhaka got on the apron to distract the referee when Curry had a pin. Curry then shoved Petey into Rhaka, and Curry bridge pinned Petey for the win.

WINNER: Curry Man in 5:00. Fine action, but they tried to do a half-way serious TV match featuring a guy who wears a mask with a never-changing goofy expression. (*)

2 -- MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS (ALEX SHELLEY & CHRIS SABIN) vs. RELLIK & BLACK REIGN

The monsters took control, then they cut to a break.

Back from break, Shelley scored with a double DDT in center ring. He then mustered enough energy to pound the mat before rolling over to his corner for a hot tag to Sabin. Sabin then did some rapid-fire moves before Shelley ran off Sabin's back for a corner smash onto Rellik. They landed a double superkick on Rellik for a nearfall. The monsters dumped Shelley to the floor, leaving Sabin in the ring by himself. Rellik took off Sabin's head with a clotheslin, then he covered him for the win.

WINNERS: Monsters in 6:00.

3 -- TNA World Hvt. champion KURT ANGLE vs. KAZ -- non-title match

A minute into the match, Angle gave Kaz an overhead toss over the top rope to the floor. Angle then rolled Kaz back into the ring, and landed a suplex for a nearfall.

At the top of the hour, Angle went for three German suplexes, but Kaz escaped the third and knocked down Angle to the mat. Both men recovered, then Angle came up firing with a right hand blow that Kaz blocked before making his comeback with forearms and clotheslines. Kaz then hit a slingshot blow of some sorts from the apron. Angle tried to surprise him with the ankle lock, but Kaz slipped out and hit the Wave of the Future for another close nearfall. He went up top for the Flux Capacitor, but Angle knocked him down to the mat. Kaz recovered and ran back up top to hit the FC. He made a cover and the ref's hand hit the mat for a third time, but Angle had kicked out in time. Kaz made the mistake of not continuing his attack, allowing Angle to slap on the ankle lock. Angle grapevined it in center ring and Kaz was forced to tap out.

WINNER: Angle in 6:00 via submission. Very nice TV match. They took out the first four minutes of a ten-minute TV match and went straight to second gear, but they made it work. (**)

4 -- LANCE HOYT & JIMMY RAVE & CHRISTY HEMME vs. LAX (HOMICIDE & HERNANDEZ & SALINAS)

Out of the break, Hernandez and his facial hair tossed folks around the ring. He then clotheslined Hoyt and his ripped jeans over the top rope to the floor. Hernandez flew over the top rope with a big dive. Back in the ring, Homicide went for the Cop Killah, but Rave slipped out and tagged out to Christy. Salinas then tagged herself into the match. She gave Christy a reverse DDT and made a cover for a nearfall. Christy then grabbed the Guitar Hero guitar and smashed it over Salinas's back with the ref distracted. Christy covered Salinas for the win.

WINNERS: Rock n' Rave in 7:00. A waste of LAX when they should be in a meaningful role, not mixing it up with the comedy tag team. (1/2*)

5 -- GAIL KIM vs. VELVET SKY (w/Angelina Love)

Gail dominated in the early going. Velvet begged off, but caught Gail with a drop toe hold into the bottom rope. Velvet followed with a DDT at 2:00 for a nearfall. She tried to follow with a corner splash, but Gail moved and Velvet ate the turnbuckles. Gail went on the offensive as the girls in the crowd kept screaming. Angelina then hopped on the apron to distract Gail, but Gail finished off Velvet with a Celtic Cross for the win.

WINNER: Gail in 4:00. Basic match. Post-match took precedence... (*)

6 -- CHRISTIAN CAGE & KEVIN NASH vs. TNA tag team champions A.J. STYLES & TOMKO -- non-title grudge match

Christian eventually tossed Styles into the ring and they traded blows. Styles then scored an early nearfall. Tenay said the captains have until March 27 to set their rosters for Lethal Lockdown. He said Cornette is planning a very special show for that date. No mention of the show being live. I don't see any point in holding off on that announcement two weeks away from the first live TV episode. Kurt Angle came to ringside at 3:00 and they cut to break.

They returned with clips from during the break of Angle trying to interfere in the match, then getting the boot from Jim Cornette. Back to real-time action with Styles working on Christian with fist blows to the forehead. Tomko tagged in and lost control of the match when Christian nailed a tornado DDT at 8:00. Christian then crawled in the desert to Nash and made the hot tag. Nash cleaned house, then the action broke down. Tomko tried to bounce off the ropes, but Christian pulled down the top rope and Tomko spilled to the floor. Styles suddenly went for the Clash on Nash, but he back flipped Styles to the mat. Nash then gave him a Jacknife powerbomb and Christian came off the top with a frogsplash. He had the pin, but Tomko pulled the ref to the floor. Suddenly, Team 3D stormed the ring and the ref called for the bell.

WINNERS: Nash & Christian via DQ in 10:00. Basic TV main event featuring the main event players where the wrestling didn't matter at the end of the day. Post-match took precedence... (*1/2)

Post-match: Team 3D tried to clothesline Nash to the outside, but Nash blocked and landed a double clothesline. Tomko came to 3D's aid, though, and the numbers game caught up to Nash and Christian. Devon brought a chair into the ring and Team Tomko smashed Nash's surgically-repaired knee with chair shots. Christian tried to protect Nash, but they threw him aside and set up a chair shot. Security intervened before Christian could take a chair shot to the throat, and 3D stood off with security. Eventually, 3D and the tag champs had enough for one night and left the ring. On the way out, Ray mixed it up with Joel Anderson, who was standing ringside. Ray flipped him over the guardrail and beat him up while Styles and Tomko smiled from the entrance ramp, apparently happy with their pick for tag partners at Lethal Lockdown. End show. JC: Good final segment to set up a stacked deck for Christian & Nash going forward to Lockdown. They established six of the eight key players, set up a reason for Team Christian to seek revenge, and also planted seeds for Joel's involvement in the show down the line.
