Tell me about it. My MJ Thriller 180 g is warped. It doesn't affect playback but it's annoying to look at now. Bought brand new too.

Oh well. It's part of the format. I only have one unplayable record and it'd be better to just seek out another copy than to fix it.

Bought my niece a David Bowie album for Christmas and it was a bit warped. I took it back to Barnes and Noble and they didn't want to exchange it. I had to explain to them nicely that I did not want a refund, just an exchange.

I wonder what the percentage is of records coming out warped from the factory?

I picked up a copy of Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory.

Took it home and it was unplayable. But best buy gave me a full refund.

they can warp outside of manufacturing. pretty easily.
Heat + pressure. Even the shrink wrap can warp them on a hot day.

Yes they can.

But I've bought thousands and thousands of records stacked 4x-5x high in 7" Banana Boxes. Some sat for years like that. But the warp was minimal.

I now collect Broadcast LP's.

Good shit, and rather unique. Some broadcasts, there might only be 4 or 5 copies left out there. And some have unreleased shit.

A 3 hour broadcast also makes for a nice side of a large tape reel.
