I'm doing the $299 kit and grabbed an MV-1C board for $80. Quan has said he will retrofit the memory option for a fee. So AFTER I do the stereo mod and Unibios I will probably send it to him for the internal memory upgrade. That's a ways off though.

Sounds like a good plan. Out of curiosity, what controller(s) are you going to use with it? I am getting a modded controller from JNX to use, but I am curious what others are using.

I'm going to use an original AES joystick with a grey sanwa ball top to start.

Some cool news, I won't be able to afford a game for a little while so I asked a local guy with a 4-slot who I've hung out with before if I could use a cart to test my new board and he said I could have a samurai spirits 1 for free! So awesome of him!
