Hey everyone,
I'm selling my used 2010 MacBook Pro. I recently upgraded to a new MacBook Pro so I no longer need this one. I've done a lot of great upgrades to the machine over the years and am including a lot of extras with the laptop. The laptop is in fantastic condition, holds long charge, and has been newly cleaned and upgraded to the absolute latest version of Mac OS X.
Let's get the seller stuff out of the way. I haven't been that active on NG for the last two years or so I want to make sure everyone knows I can be trusted.
Neo-geo (100% feedback with over 20 transactions): http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/member.php?14765-Paik4Life
SRK (100% feedback with tons of transactions) Check out all my old sale threads all with 100% satisfaction and no issues: http://forums.shoryuken.com/profile/4335/Paik4Life
Shmups (100% feedback with over 9 transactions): http://shmups.system11.org/feedback.php?mode=myfeedback&sid=5cb9bcfc33e2e26ffd1e0c9ea0afb533
eBay (100% feedback over 200 transactions with 23 as a seller): http://myworld.ebay.com/paik4life/
Onto the good stuff/info.
Specs:
2010 MacBook Pro model MC374LL/A
2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
250 GB Hard Drive
UPGRADED 60 GB Vertex 2 SSD - $60 value (internal so you have both SSD and HDD available)
with Optibay upgrade kit - $60 value (http://www.maxupgrades.com/istore/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_ID=186&ParentCat=348)
UPGRADED 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 RAM (upgraded from 4gb) - $40 value
UPGRADED External Superdrive USB drive
UPGRADED Mac OS X 10.8.4 Mountain Lion (latest version) - $20 value
All original charger, accessories, install CDs, materials, and packaging
Extras:
Henge Dock for unibody MacBook Pros (2009 - Current) - $65 value http://hengedocks.com/order_MBP13.php
Parallels 6 for Mac, just in case you want to install Windows - $30 value brand new in box
Black hardshell case - $20 value brand new in packaging
Keyboard protector - $10 value
The amount you would spend on the upgrades and extras themselves is over $300!
The MacBook Pro has both the SSD and HDD installed internally. The SSD is currently set up with the operating system which you'll see huge gains in overall speed. The stock hard drive is there for all your extra movies, music, and files. If you need to play a CD or DVD, the original superdrive is now in a USB enclosure that is thin and portable just like the superdrive Apple sells. You just plug it into the MacBook Pro and it works like normal.
The Henge dock is perfect for people who use their laptop as the main computer with an external display (or multiple displays) but also use it on the go. The Henge dock is amazingly simple. This version is compatible with all unibody MacBook Pros from 2009 onwards (not retina display models). It saved me tons of time and made having a desktop and a laptop pointless. It's also perfect if you like want to use your MacBook Pro as a media center for your living room or something. Come with everything, cables, instructions, box, etc.
So eBay estimates the base computer is worth $563 and worthmonkey estimates it's worth $651. A current search of eBay will show that this laptop in this condition with base specs sells for over $600 both as buy-it-now and auction prices.
That all said, I'd like to sell as a package with all the upgrades and extras for $700 plus actual shipping. I'm happy to ship anywhere in the world. If you're local to the Washington DC/Northern Virginia area, local transaction is also welcome.
Apple Cinema 27" Display - $650 + shipping
There are small cosmetic surface scratches and a small chip on the very edge of the glass but it's not very noticeable and it not close to the viewing area.
See specs here: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC007LL/A/apple-led-cinema-display-27-flat-panel
I'm also interested in partial trades if you have any/all of the following:
- Hori VLX Premium PS3 (Complete)
- Rollie Flash1 (Complete)
- Toodles Spark or Spark CE (Complete)
Feel free to ask any questions!
