WTB: Sega Keyboard Control Panel

I know this is a long shot... but thought I'd throw it out. I've recently acquired a typing of the dead naomi cart, and I want the keyboard CP that has 2 built in keyboards.

If I can't seem to find one I guess I can try using the DC keyboard hack. But I'd prefer having the original arcade equipment. Also, if people could price check it for me, I'm not sure what these are worth... Are they super rare?

SONOFABITCH. I really wish that I could pick this up.. I'd totally pay for it +shipping if I could get it out to me. I'd need to replace the CP, but a naomi uni/netcity for $400.. Sometimes I wish I were in Socal...

The other route is to modify the connectors for DC keyboards as they can be attached to the Naomi. I bought a setup like this many years ago for TTOTD. It's not that hard to do.

Still, getting a whole unit for that price would be a steal.

I'm like 99% sure the keyboards used on the original machine are actually DC keyboards. Its a pretty easy mod too...you just crack open the controller connector and rewire the 4 wires to a 10 pin connector that plugs right into the front of the naomi

I'm deadly serious. I would buy the empty, CP-less cab from you as long as you're reasonable with the price. Hell, I'd even figure out shipping.

If I didn't just get a blast last week to effectively be a dedicated Naomi cab I'd hop on this with you. Sadly I'm pretty out of space at this point so no new cabs for me for a while.

As for the Astro 2... still waiting on NOAH and his bad back to get better. Though seeing him move that showcase cab last weekend... I think his back should be okay to move the Astro 2. Hahaha

If I do buy it, I would chop it down and make it into a nice sitdown candy cab. But seriously though, I don't think I should be getting anymore cabs until the Astro 2 and 18 Wheeler cabs are gone.

It's looking like this is moving forward! Bad thing is the owner doesn't have paypal... waiting for his address to send a money order to. The uShip pricing is actually quite affordable considering the price of gas these days. It's only because they group so many shipments into one run that they can afford these prices. Which is fine by me... driving down there with a rented truck would cost me an arm and a leg. Let's just hope the shipper does a good job and everything is on the up and up.
