Hi All:

Spike, just asked me an interesting question, that I never really thought about until now :eek_2:

Here is his question:
Would they (Sanwa buttons) work on a US MVS unit?

I really wasn't sure. I KNOW the American buttons wont work in Japanese cabs (with out modifcation). So I'm guessing, the Japanese buttons would also require rewiring.

Any thoughts on this subject.
Thanks in advance

In addition I would also like to know if the Japanese style joysticks would work as well.

they work, the only difference is that the JPN microswitches use a smaller quick connect than the US buttons.

I've got happ competition buttons in my japanese cab (they're surprisingly similar in size to sanwas). You could just attach the smaller quick disconnects using the plastic sheathes over them or just attaching them sideways. I'd imagine it's just as easy to go the other way (as Big Nick said).

A little off topic, but I have some extra Sanwa buttons for sale if any of you are interested. They're new, and a set of 6. 3 red and 3 yellow.
