The PSX version doesn't have Mai. The AES version does.

iori wasnt in 94 because he was an original character
made for 95, most likey to be the opposite of
kyo alike to ken and ryu i would think.
plus kof 94 was more or less a gathering of SNK
ips they were just starting out really with the
yearly kof franchise really.
either way he is a welcome addition.

The reason Iori isn't in KOF '94 is cuz SNK was working on the Real Bout live action movie(in association with New Line Cinema) and they didn't have time to put him in so they waited until KOF 95.
