Dr Muckley from Nam 75

Mainly because extreme patience and a long time of playing and finding his weakness is the only way to beat him

The hardest of all bosses

:) :)

SNK on the Whole:
Yuga in Asura Zanmaden.
No other boss comes close. When you play SS64, Yuga tries to play cool, and fights you sitting down, legs folded. In SS 64 2, Yuga gets serious, but when he changes to a she... heh. There are 3 stages of Yuga, and she changes to the final form mid match! Definitely the hardest boss when she wants to be (which is often). Aso best looking. The HR Gieger alien motif on the back of her head is very cool. Of course there's also the thing about Yuga being the creator of Asura, Shiki, Deku, Dekuina and Gandara - nice work! Just a really cool idea. Yuga travels the country stealing the bodies of dead babies from their graves and then retissues them to be servants in his army. What an imagination.

Neo Geo: Mizuki (SS2).
The intro to her stage was fantastic - I mean, really, never saw anything like it before, and afterwards, all other boss intros haven't lived up to it (unless you count the entire boss sequence from KoF 97, starting with the blood riot).

KoF 96 was good for the story, but face it, Goenitz wasn't that cool looking, and Chizuru's shoulder pads... yuck.

General Morden.

He's been blown up more times than Geese Howard has been thrown out of high rise buildings... :D

Rugal is just a cheap bastard. There's nothing good about him. I prefer Orochi as the best boss for KoF games.

Fernandez from Waku Waku 7 has to be the best though. I mean, which other NeoGeo boss eats you up and then farts you out his arse? <img src="graemlins/spock.gif" border="0" alt="[Spock]" /> <img src="graemlins/tickled.gif" border="0" alt="[Tickled]" />

My favorite is Krauser from Fatal Fury 2.

While not the *hardest* boss out there, everything just came together so well leading up to your fight with him: from his little teasing bits where you see him trouncing the cast from the original game, to his taunting you before your match begins ("I'll beat you to build my legend.") to the actual stage itself - the music, the background, all of them combine beautifully and give me shivers even to this day.

And of course, who can forget the immortal: "I'll chisel your gravestone - sleep well!" :D

Truely, the most impressive end-boss that I've ever come across.

agreed!!! check out the cool pic i posted above :D

the last stage of Fatal Fury 2 is brilliant. I loved it when they brought it back in MOTM for neogeo pocket, complete with music and musicians!

"your not fit to shine my shoes"
and who could forget the first time they heard...
"this is a showdown , GEESE!" from RBS

I also nearly forgot

"Their Waiting for you in HELL!!!"

I always thought that Kain from MOTW was a cool boss character, I'm suprised that he hasn't got a mention yet.

In overall Geese. But in the KoF saga the best is Orochi from 97, I hate all the others specially Rugal.
