[those who wish to keep their patience/sanity please move to next post]

a long, long time ago, my friend had acquired mixman studio. (not sure if that's the exact name, but it was something like that.) one of the sample wavs was called "Buffa Wah," and i used it as a nick. some people still confuse my last name, whitman, with a fuse with pokemon, 'whitemon.'

(btw, i was a fan about 6 months before the boom. not what your thinking. [i gave up pokemon a few days after it went popular, and hated it ever since.])

though at this time, i prefer to think of it as Goemon, both of them, from Castle of Cagliostro and Mystical Ninja Goemon. me and another fan used to have arguments about how to pronounce his name, but htat's entirely beside the point.

I misspelled Buffa as Bufa, said 'aww f*ck that, im not changing.' and it been like that ever since...

Mick Kensou... it was either that or Neo Knight... and I felt I needed to use a Snk favored screen name.

I smashed my leg up, and they put it back togeather with lots of metal, couldnt walk for almost six months, put on weight. Hence Metal Slug! Which happens to be the name of a little known (He,He) game that used to like as a teen. So whilst I was stuck at home I managed to get myself a NGPC + Slug and others, which saw me through a lot of bored afternoons away from my DC in hospital. The Downside is that it started this whole retro thing with me, which has now become a total obsession. (Thousands of items)

My nickname???

Honey-chan is from the anime Cutey Honey, one of my all-time faves. I RP'ed as her in a few MUCK's, and have -finally- done my dream Cutey Honey costume!!
Iwanted to be a bit different on the grammar, and didn't hypenate it, like normally, hence
Honeychan was born.

I chose the Jill Valentine gif. as it's one of the costumes i've done and worn; I was trying to use one of my custon Cutey Honey, or Vanessa AV's, to no avail...>_<

Honeychan :p

MY NAME HAD A DOUBLE MEANING WHEN I MADE IT

GUI=GHOST (DEMONIC HOPPING CHINESE GHOST TYPE) AND CORCASIAN

MY MOTHER IN LAW ALWAYS CALLED ME GUI JAI WHEN I WAS A KIDDO(AND SHE NEVER STOPPED, INFACT NOW AT ALMOST 21 MARRIED TO HER DAUGHTER ETC SO ON, IM STILL CALLED "GUI JAI" BY HER =\ )

I FIGURED GUI IN THE DEMONIC SENSE AND BECAUSE I WAS BEING CALLED GUI ANYWAY......

LONG= DRAGON....WHICH IS BASICALLY A POWERFUL SMART LUCKY ETC ETC INDIVIDUAL ;)

AS FOR SNK DEVIL......WELL THATS MY TITLE....THE OPPOSITE OF THE SELF PROCLAIMED "NEO GOD" AND PROVEN THIEF LIAR AND FRAUD (ALSO FOUNDER OF ngf) LITTLE d......

.....NOW THE FULL NAME....

SNK NIGHTMARE DEVIL AND MASTER WARLORD VAMPIRE AND DEATH OROCHI PYRO GUI_LONG THE SOUL REAPER AND HAPPY HELLO KITTY PYRE DEMON LORD OF BLOOD

I LIKE FIRE AND BLOOD, MY LADY SAYS IVE A "HAPPY HELLO KITTY" SMILE, I USED TO BE CALLED "OROCHI" IN HIGH SCHOOL(STILL AM TO A LESSER DEGREE), SOUL REAPER WAS JUST BECAUSE I USED TO TALK ABOUT TAKING PEOPLES SOULS.....AND MASTER WARLORD......BECAUSE I AM THE MASTER WARLORD OF THE SNK!
AND NIGHTMARE.....THATS ALL GOT TO DO WITH DEVIL_SLEEP FROM LOOOONG AGO ;)

........I AM SNK

Magitek comes from Final Fantasy 6. I added X cuz I was playing Mega Man X at the time.

That was the icq nick I chose when I decided not to use the icq nick my high school friends suggested me.

Well, VX was a nick Ive given myself after playing vectorman one too many times.(it was VS first, but...VX sounds better!) The Infamous part came after whooping alot of people in Capcom's VS Series. Thus was born The Infamous VX. I was Famous VX once, but SOMEONE KICKED ME OFF THEIR BOARD FOR A HARMLESS JOKE!!! I wont name anyone or Kill anyonE eVen. A persoN iS cool to do that if he owns the board, so Im not mad!!

I wanted something that was Neo Geo, but not just use the name of a character. So I thought, maybe a little play on words.

I like Ryo (was into playing AoF at the time) and Ryo kinda' rhymes with Neo (Yes I know the emphasis is different). Ryo is a character on the Neo Geo, so There you go.

Remove "Neo," insert "Ryo," and you have a play on the Neo Geo name, using one of the main Neo characters. RyoGeo!

Sounds like, Neo Geo...but isn't. And real gamers, that know what a sprite is and aren't beholden to 3-d generally get it.

I chose Rain because it sounds kinda mysterious...... and not because of that Mortal Kombat character....! Well, maybe a little. I was playing MK Trilogy one night, and I started to think: "Hmmmm, Rain sounds like a cool name" So, next day I log into a chat room at collage, and got a load of girls saying how cool the name was! I've stuck by it ever since.......

When I first got connected to the Internet, I was thinking of a username for creating my Hotmail account. Back then, I was a bit fat (not anymore now! :D ), and my last name (or middle name, in English style) sounded like Cat (It's Keat, pronounced Kiat). So I chose Fat Cat Lim, with Lim as my surname.

Not bad, ne? :D

I had discovered Neo BomberMan shortly before an invite to DolphinLord's club popped up in my e-mail box one day, I think the 5th or 6th of Sept. 1999. Since I was crazy about the game, and decided to steer clear of regular names like Haohmaru or somesuch, I christened myself Neo Bomberman and since I didn't feel like choosing another name for variety's sake when I came here, I stuck with it.

For a long time Neo Bomber Man was my favourite game, and still ranks as one of my top games, arcade or home. Incidentally it is the only Bomberman game I have ever played. It took me to a whole new world in the video game dimension, I had long forgotten how a game could be even remotely as enjoyable as that, and I almost cried at eventually discovering it was an MVS-only release.

In case any of you are wondering, this is why I spell it in variations. If you look at the game's title screen, you will see "NEO BOMBER MAN" as three separate words, but I was not sure if that was done for effect of if Bomberman was intended as two separate words that everybody combines into one because it looks better that way. I'm still not sure, so I just play around with the spelling, something I did not have the choice of doing with my Yahoo! ID.

Iie-Kyo...

I've been an avid Kyo fan since I started playing in '98.

I created the account at ON.com during the summer of August... the previous year I took Japanese I. I was trying to figure how to say "Not-Shin-Kyo" since I saw a few posts that used his name from '99.

So the closest thing I could come up with was Iie-Kyo. I learned from a few Japanese buffs this year that it's actually supposed to be along the lines of Kyo-janai... which roughly translates to False Kyo.

I also have a second internet persona I use everywhere else, but that is for a later date.
