What you are willing to die for is based on perspective. For one such as myself, I don't have much to live for. WAIT! Before you criticize me, I find that I don't have much to die for, either...
I think the question to ask yourself before asking this question is, 'What is your purpose in this world?' Then you decide whether you beleive that purpose is acceptable for you to live with.
Me, as my name suggests, I'm more of a ronin who basically drifts through life. If I have a reason to fight, however, be it for friends or whatever, I'll fight with everything I've got.
If you want a list...
to die for:
1) honor
2) [as someone pointed out before] the greater good.
3) to defend the weak/helpless
that's about it. I'd say love, but I don't love. At least not yet.
to live for:
1) self preservation
2) KoF
3) perpetual contentmet
4) Zen
I'm you guys are tired of my ramblings, but bear with me a little longer. I understand the question but my question to 'hidden' is why ask? You must have a reason, but this is a deeply soul searching question. You really need to ask yourself, 'What is my self worth, and is that worth dying for?' When you answer that, the answers you find worth living/dying for come more easily and are pre-thought out.
Thank You.
