What to do with Neo Geo Cabinet...

I just bought an MVS neo geo cabinet with metal slug 2 and aero fighters 2 from a buddy. it's a single board mvs and has a 19inch monitor with space for a 25".

Now my first instinct was to just clean it up, redo the cabinet and have fun, but i already have an AES system. I then began thinking about consolizing the mvs board or just selling it and running the cabinet for MAME. i figure whatever I don't play on the AES i can play through MAME.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Is this a real MVS cabinet or a conversion?

Opps it was an original MVS cab but converted to something else then back to MVS. No traces of original layout graphics or anything.

Well then restore it to its full glory.

I say go the opposite direction :) sell the AES and restore cab. I know AES is awesome... but a cab is certainly my first choice for neo geo fun.

Right now I'm leaning towards just getting an mvs converter cartridge and restoring the mvs to sell or sell the board and keep the cab to mame it later on.

Some titles require the backup RAM and do not work on the home system no matter which mvs converter you have.

I'd say consolize it, sell the AES, and save a ton in the longrun on carts
