I imagine they'll do what every bankrupt buisness does, and auction off their assets to pay off remainng debts. Those left become the responsibility of whoever was in charge, or whoever has the majority of stock.

We should try and get enough money together to buy an SNK franchise. I'm sure we could buy the Magician Lord name and trademark. Every other compnay will go for the KoFs, Sam Shos, Last Blades and the Metal Slugs.

As for the S3 carts, I imagine they are in the middle of if not already done being manufactured. All that would be needed is to prepare them for shipping. If prepaid, they have a legal obligation to provide them. If unable to, the matter goes to the parent company to resolve. Be optimistic. Even when a compnay closes down, they get thier affairs in order, they don't just drop everything where it's at and go home.

Your probably right, SNK will have to auction their business off, how can ya pay off a major debt off, still kinda glad they lasted this long, they didn't change to suit the next gen., they stayed the same old graphics engine, no high power chip, and the fucker still cost more than a PS2 these days, haha...but maybe after a long while SNK might return or not. I mean some fan site posted this news, they didn't give a source. Until you hear an official statement posted on Magic Box or something, don't buy it yet.

Aruze DOES own SNK now, and they DO have money.

Besides SNK can live on, 3D0 was totally dead, and they came back and just publish software now.

Not to mention SNK games like KOF, Fatal Fury and Metal Slug are way to popular, some other company will no doubt pick these franchises up and continue to make games.

What a spurious analogy. 3DO never died. They were never in debt for the death of the multiplayer. after all, they just licensed the hardware out to Panasonic, Sanyo, Goldstar, etc. In fact, after Matsushita bought the m2 hardware design off of 3DO (for millions of dollars) it is not surprising that 3DO remains liquid to this day.
