Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Never played through it before but I had heard many great things about it. I love the art style and sprite work as well as the challenge it is posing for me. Reminds me of my first time with Super Metroid in terms of gameplay and challenge.

Dude I look forward to these posts every time. Always with the obscure game recommendation.

You may be the only one :keke:

Mad Stalker is an outrageous game. I've picked it up somewhat recently and I'm floored.

The best way I can describe it : Cybernator/Valken (sans platforming) + SNES Ninja Warriors + Asuka 120% engine (same devs, Fill In Cafe)

It's a quasi remake of the X68K game from 1994. It's so over the top. I believe it's on JPN PSN too.

As far as I can tell, Crows deserves the bad rap it gets. Until I figure out how the combo edit feature can be further utilized, or find other nuances in the engine I'm unaware of, I'll maintain that it's a very bland game.

EDIT: It's Full Metal Force. I have Cyberbots on the brain. Ooops.

Persona 4 Golden - Cool game, but I'm a bit perplexed by the difficulty. The first two bosses are incredibly difficult. Apparently the game gets easier from there, but it just seems like a silly thing to do. I'm really enjoying the cheesy high school sim aspect of it. I'm going to try and stick with it this time.

^ I just got Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag, what's wrong with it? I have never played a game in the series before so I don't have anything to compare it to.

3 and 4 are just too tedious. In the whole series there were always little extra things to do, but they don't make the game feel so drawn out. If you're going to play Assassin's Creed, stick to: 2, Brotherhood and Revelations (The Ezio Trilogy). The first was alright, just a little unpolished. But I got severely bored with 3 and now 4. I guess they just move too slow now, at least for me.

For me it was just more of the same. I was really into AC2 and the Ezio games but by revelations I was burnt out. Everything felt so similar I could barely figure out the differences.

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition

Just started playing Diablo today with the wife. It's been a ton of fun, and takes us back to when we used to play all of these dungeon crawler RPGs on the PS2 together (Champions of Norath 1 & 2, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, etc.). This is the first Diablo game I've ever played, and if I'd have known they were this genre I would have gotten into them a lot sooner.
