Vektorlogic - no more private sales

Hi Guys

Vektorlogic is now back open fully for business for trade buyers - new numbers are as follows - +44 1325 485698 and fax is 488466 - however....

following the completion of supply of the japanese versions of SS64 there was one unhappy customer who was highly upset that his HNG boxes were taped together, thus destroying the 100% quality of the boxes - I understand the situation for collectors, but we are a trade business, not a collector supplier - that's what pays the bills.

Consequently it is with great regret that I have to draw the line on future private sales and call it a day - with such little time to allocate to private sales as it is - it is clear that there will be further situations such as this that could arise in the future. I think it was a paypal sale, and the possibility of account suspension is not worth the hassle of a few hundred bucks - sorry

I know that there will be posts - so here is the original letter and reply -

Rgds

Jeff F

Hi Joe

your order is put together by a packer - not a collector - but due to the nature of your complaint - we will ask you to return the goods for a full refund - we will now withdraw sales from private buyers

Sorry but I don't need it - I will address the matter with paypal and announce the reason why to the forum - yours is the only complaint from the many carts shipped, but I am afraid the time taken to get the order together for you (and the fact that we are losing money on all of these sales of Jap carts) means that it is no longer financially viable to continue to support people like yourself - sorry - i really mean it - but there comes a point where threats of this nature make it a non-viable proposition

Jeff F

Better to slap your shipping boy around and let him know how to package goods for your customers, who you should have every intention of treating right, because your customers, not your shipping boy, send you all that money.

I mean, why pull out of the private sales market to sell an otherwise unmarketable system like the HNG?

Yep, it's me. I was hoping to allow this to be settled privately. I don't think you'll get a lot of sympathy here.

It's just frustrating. Why did all the people here ask for boxes to complete their kits?? Because they want a nice condition, complete kit. I get my games all taped together in a horrible frankenstein fashion. Why would I pay the extra shipping for an empty FF box if I didn't care what condition it showed up in? I even paid an extra $20 to ship the Buriki One and FF box!

Instead of fixing the problem like good sellers do you'd just rather crucify a customer publicly and jump ship???

I hate to say it Jeff, but this is hardly true. I lost count of the complaints about your service. It may be true that folks weren't necessarily complaining about this specific issue, but I sure got the impression that your service was spotty at best.

Blatantly obnoxious??? You are referring to me then? I'm a honest guy. Ask many of the people on these boards. I just want what I paid for.

I got a censored/bad Korean SS64. I got no box with my FF:WA. I paid another $50 to get the good JPN SS64. I also got a Buriki One. I paid $40 to ship that second package to correct that stuff. Who's being obnoxious?? I was happy to find a fair solution for both myself an Vektorlogic.

Jeff says that he had never heard of the Korean SS64 issue before. A member of this board (who I will not name) said that he told him about it several weeks ago. I was willing to let things go and pay more to have it resolved adequately.

Several members of this board complained about not getting boxes or orders quite right. Was I being obnoxious to ask for what I paid for?? Is the seller in the right?

Another member of this board complained a while ago of getting a cab that fell apart when he got it from Vektorlogic. Was he to blame?

Now who's being the jerk? I do believe it's you.

Vektorlogic wanted to make this and my e-mail public. I was happy to resolve it privately. I just want what I paid for. Nothing more.

Perhaps I was a bit harsh. But after several weeks of trying to get the Korean SS64 problem solved and get a box for my FF (which did require some arm pulling and some up-in-arms by many member of the forums) it's a slap in the face to get what I got.

I don't want a flame war. I just want this resolved. I also would like YOU to think about who's being a jerk.

I agree with you 100%. There is NO excuse for a BUSINESS not to take into account the feelings of its customers. This is to Jeff of Vektorlogic: your attitude sucks and your business ethics are pretty shitty. There have been plenty of other complaints besides this one, from others such as the guy that got the beat up MVS cabinet from you a while ago, in poor condition.

Personally any business that acts like yours, and has that type of attitude, can FUCK OFF. I'd never do business with you after everything I've heard, and this just cements it. GFR, figure that one out.

Thanks Chimpy. I'm glad I'm not alone here. A re-seller especially should be providing a service. That how's how the business makes money. He/She makes it easier for the customer to get what they want. It's pretty much all customer service. If you don't have that you don't have a business.

laurent @ neoayato is tops for customer service. He'll bend over backwards so that you feel like you got what you want. That's why I keep coming back to him. It may require a little more trouble for him at times.. but he also gets much more business that way (I buy almost exclusively from him now).

Perhaps the money isn't that important to Jeff? Maybe he does so much business elsewhere that he can afford to do this to me and other customers? More power to him. I still don't think I'm wrong for wanting what I paid for. I feel cheated -- plain and simple. And then he goes and tries to drag my name through the mud :( .

I really don't want a flame war.. honest. I'm just feeling really angry and cheated right now. And then shit on.

You're welcome. You're not asking too much to be treated like someone who matters, rather than some peon who the seller would rather not bother with. If he doesn't care about doing business, he can keep his attitude AND his products.

I doubt he's selling very many Hyper64 kits or games really, since the Hyper is weak and pretty unimpressive next to present day 3D games on the PS2, XBox, and GC.

The system was a complete failure in the market and thats why few people bother picking up the motherboards/games. I thought about it briefly, then realized the few games out for it weren're really worth it (except maybe SS64-2).

Finally the fact that he took it public and tried to rub your face in it is ridiculous and unacceptable. Right up there with the Freak duo in terms of customer service . . .

no I'll never get a ng64. It's just like japhei said you guys are so anal about getting your videogames complete as fuck that you basically piss people off. Now I'm no advocate for japhei, in fact I was one of the first to say ban his bitch ass. but did it ever occur to you that you are getting these games for a deep discount. You did act pretty rude too saying that you'll do a stop payment and shit. Now I'll never play the ng64.... That's just my two cents, now you have a dollar you can use it to play two games of samurai showdown 64 and I hope you enjoy it knowing that I'll never get to play it

Don't be a complete dumbass. There are PLENTY of other places to get a Hyper 64 from, if you get off your ass and LOOK for them. Stop whining and recognize that a business MUST satisfy its customers, or its DOOMED, period.

Actually Jeff, and I didn't want to bring this up since i was giving adequate time for the game to arrive, but I still haven't receive my Jap SS64 cart at all.

According to your email it shipped on Aug 9th. It probably will still show up (hopefully) but please don't close the books just yet on the SS64 replacements.

Yeah, great!
Well he didn't get a complain from me, cause he never sold the jp. SS63 to me! I was the one who started the research about the korean version of SS64 and it seems that now I'm the only one who won't get a japanese SS64?!? Why?

Jeff, could you tell me why you have not replied to my eMails?
Right now I don't fucking care about my missing Hyper64 boxes (although you've promised me for months!!!), I just want the jp. SS64 I ordered the day Jeff made the offer here in the forum!

Damn....if I didn't post about this korean/jp SS64 issue over and over in this forum AND to Jeff (I'm the one who told him weeks before), no owner of the korean version would've gotten their jp. SS64...and now I'm being ignored by Jeff about this deal and the long promised boxes?

Shattered Dreams...Shattered Dreams...Shattered Sreams.
Jeff,what happened man??
The future looked so bright...
I hope that you can "suck it up" and resolve these matters because I truly believe noone wants things to end like this...
Just calm down and deal with one situation @ a time..everything will be okay in due time.
rather than have Galford Forever return the items you should solicit those items for sale over here in the US..probably save you a whole lot of trouble..
BRAIN POWER man!! BRAIN POWER!! :-D

I'm sure you made a solid argument somewhere there.

You are, however, fairly misinformed. The only reason to go through Vektorlogic is because you are either A) In Europe or B) Want a new-old-stock complete kit. If the answer is B, then you probably care about condition. Vektorlogic is not the sole source for Hyper 64 stuff. mdgamesales deals in that as well. It can often be obtained on ebay also. But, if you want a complete, new kit Vektorlogic is one of the few places that I know of that carries this. You also pay a premium for it, as these items can be had much, generally, much cheaper on ebay.

If there are a few of you that want to believe that I am the source of all your problems regarding these Hyper games, then fine. I singlehandedly destroyed the company and was the only one to ever complain about their service apparently  .

I don't feel sorry for asking to get what I paid for. Apparently only "bad collectors" would even think to get what they paid for or care about getting an item that worked properly (the Korean SS64 and MVS cabinet). The big time corporations are apparently much better and are happy no matter what you send them.

Yeah.. I don't think it was proper of Jeff to start this thread and reveal that private mail...
GF, You are in no way wrong here...
Hopefully Jeff can learn from these mistakes/poor judgements and get back on track rather than give it up and pack it in....

Thanks BB. I think Jeff was hoping that the community would lynch me cause he was taking his football and going home. I'm glad to see that's not the case.

I really don't have any hope that this will be resolved well now. Not after he's turned it into me vs him with this public thread.

by the way, I don't know if Jeff has ever had experience with it, but paypal doesn't give a shit about the person on the short end of the stick when it comes to charge backs. Once a chargeback is made, that money is gone, and you have to work your ass to get that buyer dance to your step again.

Wow, one complaint and you're shutting down bussiness to "normal" people for good?

Good luck selling those Hyper Neo-Geo's to actual companies/arcade ops. They don't make any money, the only people who are gonna buy them are collectors.

Hell the only people who buy anything Neo nowadays outside of Asia are collectors.

Just a note that I too have not received the Japanese SS64 cart that I paid for weeks ago and was told that it had shipped already. Also, once upon a time when I did order my Hyper set from Vektorlogic, it took them 1 month to ship me my goods after payment. They lied about when they shipped it and in the end, they used EMS to get it to me.

I should mention that I paid immediately after Jeff confirmed that he could sell a boxed SS64 japanese version.

Nothing has arrived yet.
