I know you most probably don't come here since you think your too good of a KOF player(you probably can't even read English since you were too busy chatting Cantonese with your buddies)to learn or help out but I think your a real good example of a cheap ass wanker who loves to use Joe Striker.So let's go

Hinako:Standing B,forward + B,Standing B,forward + B over and over again trying to trap me and go for a Guard Crush and then try to do a qcb + A/C knockdown on me and then Joe.You know what?Screw you and eat my K

You are by far the cheapest player I've ever played against in the 4 or so years that I've played KOF.Your even worse than people who over abuse Iori's Scum Gale(I hate that move so much I even cared enough to know its name).If I see you next time I for one will not hesitate to beat you with the Mary bug.Or even better,Lin bug

btw I finally saw a good female KOF player here in Sydney yesterday(Saturday),damn if I wasn't playing another KOF machine at the time I would've versed her(of course I'm using this as an excuse for her not kicking my ass).I might have been beaten and I probably would end up hating her,but I'll end up loving her <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">

cheap bastards suck. that's basically why i don't play in arcades too often. other than the KoF 2000, KoF 98, SF3:3s etc area being packed, spectators lining up and so forth. (must find another arcade...)

This wasn't a competition Batsu_Power(we never have anything here in Sydney).But the thing we MvC2 is that there's a way to bypass anything.There isn't when you being DMed every 2nd move

Well... I meant on competing players i.e players who challenge you in a match.

Anyway, that guy who you fought against was cheap in every aspect. That's why I hate the people who use these striker combos to land 100% damage and walk out gloating on how he's the best guy in the arcade. I hope KOF2k1 fixes that problem.

I had this problem when I was versing everybody at 10 PM - 12 AM at night. I used Joe but for my matches but for some, strange reason, I could not get myself to properly land a combo using Joe as strikers. I could never understand this. I used to be able to do them up the arse to a point where I'd really piss off everybody else but I don't know.

Something in the back of my mind stopped me from doing it, it was as if I was purposely either trying to make the game more fair for myself and for the other player or something just told me it was wrong.

Then again I did see someone else using the Joe thing in a majority of their matches so maybe i was trying to keep myself from being like him... I don't know.

I guess now it's not appealing for me to watch someone else use two Joes to take off 80% of my life doing the same exact crap over and over again. It just doesn't look like that that victory is earned...

Holy cow hebretto, that's how this one guy plays Kula and King! He's the exact same person who got angry at me because I started using normal tap throws on him and then called ME cheap for doing that!!!

Btw, how do you do that glitch that causes the guy to fly off the screen? I read about it somewhere here but I forgot. I'd like to use it on some people I think would deserve it...

I don't think it really matters how cheap the guy is... If they are cheap to you and everyone else, he must be cheap. But even the cheapest person here in Honolulu gets his teeth knocked out (in the game) by the player that Iie-Kyo always mentions and praises.

Hebretto I think you got a good beating that day man but dont you think if some other player performs an uppercut (Dragon Punch)
when his opponent jumps is like the same as Kula's crouching C , Man its an anti air move. I dont see anything cheap in this move other than its high priority. Try not to blame him but to out smart him .

An advice would be try to jump as less as you can and when ever you jump make it from a close distance so that he does'nt gets the chance to perform Crouching C.

It could be a fast shadow jump which crossups your opponent and in this case Kula's Crouching C would not hit as you will be on the other side, now you can combo her easily.

Another good Idea would be jumping to overlap her and at the same moment sending your striker.

To get away from her grab simply Move your joystick round and round fast and tap the
A, B, D buttons fast. To prevent her from throwing you simply jump instantly and send in your striker even if you dont have a striker do jump and combo or simply Grab em.

try pressing fwd/back+A+B when the guy grabs u with Kula's C grab. it's suppossedly the 'official throw break' for KOF2K. (forgot the FAQ where I read that one. Kao's KOF2K FAQ IIRC)

also, yeah, try to jump less. or trick him into thinking ur gonna attack.

That may be the official "throw break" but Kula C throw is one of those classified "unbreakable throws". You know, the kinda throws that a Bao, Chang, and Choi player loves doing to break the machine at your arcade. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

However, is the throw break you're talking about a way to break people who love using these kinda throws...?

Well I can't do much against Kula cause if I AB roll,he'll throw me.If I run,he'll Crouching C me.The only character I had a chance against that guy was K with his Iron Trigger and its follow-ups

yeah, I know ppl love to abuse those kinds of throws, but notice how the CPU easily breaks them? i guess this is the way. once you see your opponent do the grab, immediately mash fwd/back+A+B. I kinda tried this versus the CPU, and it works. They inflict minor damage on me. I haven't tried this against a human opponent though. I'll post it once I confirm it.

And hebretto, uh, haven't you considered playing cheaply too? (ie: Joe Striker, Clark, Ralf, Iori on your team)

There is a way to defeating those kinds of ppl, though it pains me that even if you are better than the guy, you'd have to play twice as hard. It's your call. Either play cheaply or play fair. Me, I'd go any way the wind blows.

And dun be too carried away. It's just a game. Who knows? Maybe your better in bed than him? (jk) <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I'm wondering if I really want to beat some people, should I sink myself down to their level and play just as cheap, or should I try to become the better person and work twice as hard for the same result when I play by choosing *not* to use such cheapness?

Well, it depends on you, but me? I just do whatever 'style' the other guys do. I'm not in the 'honor-when-you-are-playing-arcade' type of thing. I'm more of a 'now, what da hell do you want?' type of person. That's why I get the best of both worlds. (Being cheap/being fair in games). It's because when I use cheap tactics, my cheap opponent learns to hate me too. You reap what you sow.

But Im not a cheapo by heart. I prefer a fair fight.

Look at it this way: Should you decide fairly, the cheap player won't take it as a slap in his face. He'll still think that he's the better player (most cheapsters are like that). On the other hand, when you play cheap, you lessen the effort of winning and make 'em spend more (the cheapo, that is)

My advice would be to know how to beat them fair and square, but use the cheap tactics instead (unless it's a session play where you dont get to spend too much $s)
