In all honesty a better question would be if Iron Galaxy could be hired by crowd funding to update fightcade's netcode. I highly doubt it, but it honestly has a better chance then a last gen system getting any more support any time soon.

There are still games being developed for and released on PS3 to this day. It's not like Mortal Konbat X where the game is too advanced to advanced to be ported to the PS3.

SNK was still releasing PS2 games years after PS3 released.
