This shows me the light, the true light.

Dion and Chris, your get rich scheme is almost over, better invest your "stolen" money while you have a chance...

Why is it that NGF has NO games in stock that are over $100?

LIARS!

Fuck NGF, fuck the "Big Tymers", fuck all who continue to buy from them...

Joe, did you get your Bang Bead back?

Not one game in my collection of AES is from NGF...

I'd love to beat the FUCK out of Dion...

I hope you two burn in hell...

Someone needs to destroy NGF...

Yeah, and fuck all who put "NGF - The only true Neo Geo fans" or whatever in their signature...

Jesus Tonk, make up your fucking mind, will ya? It was just last week you were on your big NGF kick... What started that whole thing in the first place?

All I can say is that everybody who paid them out the ass for their fucked copies of KOF2K got what they paid for. I feel no pity for any of you guys. I'm sick to death of hearing all this shit about NGF, and I'm praying that this MS3 re-release will finally make them go away.

I know it won't though.....

Damn it's late....

Max Payne rules.......

Oh man, will this pain ever go away? Who needs television when the Neo scene is a constant soap opera.

Yeah, Keith and I are just running a big scam. Hopefully, everyone is able to have fun with it. I don't think I'll ever be able to buy in peace from eBay again.

Now, hold on just a sec there. First of all, someone UNBIASED had to take a chance on the thing in the first place. From what I remember, Keith and I were the only people to originally publicly admit purchasing this copy on these forums. I don't know what Keith's original intentions were, but my primary goal was to once and for all prove to myself whether NGF could be trusted. The product was delivered quickly and efficiently. The quality far and beyond exceeded any other home conversions I had previously seen and, along with the supposed rarity, justified the asking price. Some people put up and took a risk, same as with the Strikers release. Secondly (or second of all, or whatever, since I am dead tired), how many of the KOF2K owners are actually complaining? None, so far, although I want to see Keith's actual take on the product. Everyone got the product they paid for and there is no need to even think of giving us pity for our actions, since most of us knew what we were getting ourselves into. Only the blind would have unquestionably readily accepted this release as 100% official, even with the overwhelming evidence originally presented by NGF. In the end, any product associated with NGF will linger in doubt due to their previous business practices, yet this doubt will have no effect on their customer base whose primary purpose is to collect.

NGF US KOF2K official or not? Until another SNK version comes out, it will remain as the only English-language KOF2K cart on the market, and for those collectors out there, it's the only thing that matters.

Sincerely,

Mikhail

I'm in DISBELIEF.

First, all I've read in and out "the only thing NGF cares about is making money".

1) Shouldn't they want to make money?

2) Ok, so they had the goods ready to ship out with all the original work, and THEN paid someone to do their logos and such. THEN paid someone to print the stickers and labels in high quality.
But all they care about is making money?! The one concerned most with PROFITS would have just shipped them out as is. I've not had a chance to ask them about the "why's" on this issue, but I really don't care...

Umm... Damn I'm tired of this issue...

I hate to be the one to say this, but it was painfully obvious all along that the whole "official US KOF 2K" thing was a scam. It was clear to anyone not prone to wishful thinking that the inserts were fake.

First, as Keith might say, you can't buy a new Boba Fett, pull the rocket out of it's back, and call it a prototype "Rocket Fett". (old skool dion mocking). If you pull out the insert and change it, it's no longer official, it's repackaged product and in effect, used.

Second, anyone who's dealt with a Japanese company knows it's like pulling teeth, and dion could no more get "neogeofreak.com" printed on the insert than shawn could get "neo-geo.com" printed on the insert of MS3. They just wouldn't do it. Just like they wouldn't press MSX with orange cart casings and sell the entire stock to dion as an "NGF exclusive" as he tried to claim it would be. (I bet alot of y'all don't know about that.)

I feel bad for the people who got "freaked" but I knew the facts would come out eventually, and as the SNK devil's advocate, I'm not a bit surprised.

Thanks,

Good points Billkwando. You've seen a LOT more of what the dynamic duo have done over the years than 95% of the people in these forums. And you were for a long time in the forefront of showing other people what kinds of scams they perpetrated.

The bottom line for me is that the KOF2K is a fake product, despite the fact that SNK originally produced an English insert and manual (at least the artwork itself, SNK MAY not have actually printed the English artwork at all). Since the duo defaced the product by replacing the original insert with a scanned/fake printed one, and the same for the manual, it is no longer an SNK product. Based on that situation, as far as I'm concerned, it should be priced as if it included NO insert, NO manual, and NO cart sticker (i.e. bare black cart in a case). The fake items are worthless, and I'd be willing to bet the price of the "English AES" KOF2K cart will drop accordingly in the near future.

EDIT: speling corektions . . . hehe.

Just about everything that could be said on this topic has been said,
However I just want to put out one last point:

Exactly how sacreligious is it to scam not only the fans, but the mother-company???

Think about it...

Those two sissy's are SICK...SICK...SICK.
I read earlier that it was about ego ONLY.
That is not entirely TRUE. I have corresponded with Dion in the past (very..very..very lil because of sick shit like this)and this SICK FUCKER wants his cake and eat it too.
He wants to make everything appear to be 'RARE' or 'PROTO' for the sake of earning big bucks -BUT- he wants the credit for distributing his make believe merchandise.
These guys will do anything to get the money..
Does anybody hav the balls to go inside a NGF cart?? The only thing you see is Fake Inserts and manual, can you really trust what's under the hood??
I would'nt be surprised if Dion enscribed his name on the chips like he did someone's Neo system awhile back.

I agree, had they left the game untouched they there would still be question.
SNK should have done more research on ngf before ever considering this in the first place. No matter how real it is, it came from ngf and has a MADE ngf insert. The result is the game being worthless.
I am just glad I preordered a japanese UNQUESTIONABLE KOF 2K, the reason being I know for fact its real, and there are no questions sourrounding it.
Fran is a huge fan of jap carts, in my opinion they are becoming a much safer medium these days.

Dion toyed KOF 2K English.
My question now that this info is revealed who will be compensated for buying one VIA neostore?

Thats the problem with this kind of thing, it effects everyone.
IMHO,. Shawn should have known better in the first place.
Like someone said "we have all been warned"
See people. This is the reason I am proud to own the japanese version!

Hey guys, has anyone ever taken the time to ever notify SNK of just what NGF did with this cart? By that I mean sending them scans of the "fake" insert they produced for this cart? The old posts on this topic and I beleive sites like National Console Support stated that SNK finally did confirm a limited number of English KoF2K's being produced, but were they ever made aware of just how it was sold?

With all the posts on this topic over the past year, I was just wondering if anyone had ever put together a detailed letter or e-mail with scanned images to let them know what was going on...

I'm sure SNK likes to make money like every other company, but I wonder if they would be concerned with someone "re-packaging" their merchandise...

Take a big 3 letter guess.

I was expecting a yes or no.
I was never expecting the answer I got.
That is how I know.

...sorry, Nick, guess I missed this post. What if anything did SNK say? What I mean is how did they respond to what NGF did? Any repercussions? Just curious...
