I installed Doom on my school computer in the 5th grade. Got caught playing. Had to install it on every computer as punishment.
Even our teacher realized it's much better than the edutainment games.

Still possibly my greatest workplace accomplishment.

Doesn't sound like much of a punishment. Did the teacher let you leave the game installed, as well (so everybody could play it)?

His teacher didn't believe in pirating or multiple installs, so he was forced to pay for a copy of Doom for each of the computers in the class.

Ah yes. The height of entertainment. My son played it and made it to the end with everyone alive first try. Really messed me up.
