Not sure about the headset deal. For starters, I play with headphones, so a headset doesn't really go well with that. On top of that, whenever I have played Resistance with headset users they tend to be morons that shout, 'ha ha' or some such crap if they get a kill.

That is one thing that was better about the game before the servers opened up: the Japanese keep quiet and get on with the game.

You can always flick it back to non-worldwide mode in the options too

I use headphones but only when everyone is asleep
