The only reason many of these guys don't get caught up in their fantasy tales is because their better liars.

After allowing people who rip members of this forum to continue posting, it just seems BS to can someone on this basis alone.

Considering how often this has been treated in the past with 2 or 3 day bans, why is only Japhei getting a permanant one?

I'm not defending this guy, I just would like to see everyone follow the same rules & get the same treatment.

There isn't any other video game system on the planet that generates half the insanity that the Neo Geo does. Reading the posts on this forum is very entertaining. I watch less TV thanks to neo-geo.com!

i guess he s maybe young and kinda immature, and how he post and talk dont help him, only i m sure that s all bashing and stupid hate from everyone in this forum who forced him to use a another account, all of that is the consequence (good word ?) of act and words of some peoples here, i m really disappointed how peoples deal with all of that. why all of this hate and bashing against some peoples, that s was tora, now japhei.

A majority of members want to ban Japhei (myself not included). Although he hasn't done anything specific on these boards there is a majority of ppl who wanna ban him.

Do we do it?

Well if we do then we'll have to worry bout banning other people. Myself and many others would personally love to see Makismo get the boot! But if action like banning members is done on a popular vote kind of thing then lots of people may go and I don't think we'd want that.

i am not going to read all 7 pages of this post.

but i will say this.

i am very into the ps2 warez scene and usually as soon as a game is released or a couple weeks before release it is put out by the groups. these releases spread like mad and if your a highly respected member of a newsgroup or fxp board you can be known and recognised as a good guy that shares with evryone. eventually if you are able to get 0-sec games you will end up posting and pubbing the new releases even if you dont have the slightst bit of intrest of them. you post them so the people that do not have access to the game can get it. so japhei probably just posted this as another release. it does not mean that he played it whatsoever. if he didnt post it sombody else would have in like an hour later. you cant stop warez my friend, peole will get what they want if they look hard enough or wait long enough. janphi should keep what he has. and what are you talking about "goods for sale" he does not make any money he is sharing with people. just because a game is snk or playmore and not any other game doesnt mean shit. what you do on other boards/at home/at work/anywhere else should not interfear with other boards unless it involvs a cirtin someone someone beating another one up .

I will say this:

I used to be big in the Warez scene. But now, that I'm older, have a good paying job, and have become a lot more mature I buy my shit.

Buy games, it's amazing how nice they really are. No technical problems, you get a nice case for them to go in, with nice artwork and manuals.

If you like something, buy it, it's very very simple here...

On the other hand I'm thinking of downloading KOF2k on DC to give to some friends of mine who aren't into the Neo but like 2D fighters. They can't really play alot of Neo games (they don't have TV out for emu's and hate playing on a 15" monitor). So I figured I'd hook up some people with it to get them to come over and play the real deal on my MVS setup.

It worked on one of my friends (gave him ROMZ, now he plays a lot of SNK stuff), and I'm hoping I can get a few more. Hell ROMZ got me to buy a Neo setup and now I own just about every game I play on Neo EMU.

i dont steel games i test drive them and if its worth it then i buy it. i dont buy crap games like 3DO puts out that i would end up playing once saying its a POS and then never play it again. if a game company puts out a game that they know its total crap why do they charge $50+ for it?

I've read through this whole topic and here's my opinion:

I'm not buying into the fact that God_Rugal is Japhei's friend mainly because of the IP address. But then again I thought maybe he was using Japhei's computer but that still wouldn't make since seeing as how God_Rugal was able to take the pictures of those game collections so quick.

I think one thing that was similar to what is going on now is that situation with that with "Mr. 20 accounts" In a sense of the IP conflict.
At least when those people defended themselves, it held water somewhat but some of them were banned anyway with the exception of a few.

But anyway, I think that Japhei should be banned

I'm the same way, I was never really "big" into warez, but I did pirate some PSX and DC games about a year and-a-half ago, about a month later I felt like crap for doing so and broke all the CD-Rs in half. It's pretty damned evil and shameful to be pirating games from a system that no longer (and for some time, never did) generate a profit for Sega.

As far as giving ISOs and burned copies of games to your friends to play, why don't you just invite them over, go to their house, or let them borrow your game? If you're adamant enough about getting your friends to be 2D fighter fans, maybe you should be adamant about making them honest gamers as well.

Just some stuff to ponder over, not trying to convert you.

It is Japhei's friend cause Japhei's IP is banned at the moment. And those pictures were taken a while ago, if you check the properties I'm the one who's hosting some of them. I put them up a while ago for him.

Also, my friends can't borrow my MVS carts cause they don't have a way to play em. But I can't get my friend to buy a $60 DC game for something that he only thinks is "OK" when he's played it at my house. But if I give him a free copy on DC (which he can play on his gaming setup), then he may get into it and eventually buy a legit copy.

Just curious. If his ISP uses DHCP, how can you ban him. Do you ban a range?

I'm on hispeed and if I want to change IP's then I could just as easily do a release-renew license and my IP will most likely change.

As usual you and I agree. I was pointing out the problem with policing the internet in my last post.

Almost everyone here wants someone banned. So, you ban one person and everyone starts asking 'what about XXXXXX'

I think the only time someone should get banned is when you have good user's who are not discussing things because they don't want to be bothered by the bad usuers. I don't see Jephie hurting the userbase, just being a pain in the ass.

Also, I had a situation in highschool where one jerk went around to all our favorite MUD servers and got our ISP banned. It's not fair to the other users of that ISP to get banned just because one person doesn't want to play nice. It seems like maybe one or two people isn't a big deal, but that's one or two people that will never get to discover Neo, just because Jephie is pissing people off.
