'99 hands down.

I can't grasp the downs-syndrome art in '98 worst of the series imo. Went from worst to best in just one year! Hope SNK fired the guy who drew '98!

I most certainly like KOF 2000, congrats to SNK on that one.

SNK character art looks so cool, so realistic, and it's so nice. It's changed so much over the years but it's still as nice as ever even today. Ya, I love that artwork for KOF '97 though 2000!! You know, I really liked Shinkiro's style of character drawing. His work for KOF 2000 (which was the final KOF made by SNK) was simply so beautiful and it was like iceing on the cake for doing such a great job since the very beginning in KOF. I really like alot of Athena's and Nakoruru's art; they look so adorable.

The art work for the endings in this game are superb,i would go as far to say the best on the neo geo.i dont think much of the win art though.
