Testing MVS without a cart

At last...........I'm finally at a stage to test all the wiring on my MVS supergun.

I want to check that the video and audio are ok before I insert a cart. Worse case scenario, I then just blow the MVS board and not a game as well



I bought my MV1-FZ off ebay a while ago and I've not had a chance to test it yet. Can I check picture etc without a cart?

Any help is much appreciated.

Use the test function, pin 15 I think? Just a momentary contact should get you into the test/service menu.

Dip switch one will give you a test mode,you will get a green screen with no cart in..as long as you have the 5v 12v and 0v connected right you wont do any damage anyway...

As a preliminary test, when booting up with no cart installed you should get a cross hatch. Horizontal and vertical white lines on a black back, without adjusting any dips. make sure they are all off to start with.
