Actually KOF2001 cover (by Hiroaki) is actaully one of the best in the whole AES run IMHO.

Sengoku 3 was before the original SNK collapsed so you cant blame playmore (besides it was a pretty nice insert).

Slug 4 and ROTD are ok. But Matrimelee is amazing. One of the best inserts lately.

The cover does not affect the game in anyway. They are made to look cool so people would want to buy the games. I guess its different with the Neo Geo, hell everything is different with the Neo Geo.

I don't beleive this art lends itself to a cover illustration. I'll probably be wrong, but I guess we will see. There is potential to do SO MUCH more with this.

i like the pic but dont think it should be the cover art. the cover should be all the characters in the game fighting or something like that and i don't mean all the snk characters on one side and the capcom characters on the other i mean a giant brawl or something but it should have all the characters in the game doing something

he is much more a mascot for the SNK than Kyo ever will be Kyo has only been in kof games for the neo yet Terry has been in like 8 games more

You've got great taste.
One can't deny the class that's present on the previous KOF covers [98 especially], but the newer KOF's [01 and 02] while having shortcomings when it comes to gameplay/rosters, have no trouble in terms of design.

Both covers are AMAZING looking and a nice step towards being a bit more 'modern'

As a member of Nambla, I agree. More man bo love is needed in the SNK universe. The Terry/Rock rleationship is HOT, dont get me wrong, but a cross over man-boy is even better.

Put steamy dreamy effects on the cover as well. Pink fog.
