Who was asking about PSUs? Was it for a SuperGun?

Well, use a PC PSU! They have +5V, +12V, -5V and -12V. And best of all, built-in fan!

I'm toying with the idea of making an all-in-one SuperGun, which holds the PCB and everything. Anyone interested?

Oh, and my portable's just getting underway ;o)

the disadvantage is that pc power supplies tend to be quite a bit larger and due to the fan, quite a bit more noisy too. I make superguns, and stick to original arcade PSUs.

My superGUN is going to enclose the MVS board and everything else. I'm using a PC powersupply, just because it has the fan and although it's bigger it makes life pretty easy to power everything.

I would use a PC power supply because they are readily available and they are cheap. However, I'm toying with the idea of turning my HotRod Joystick into a SuperGun and real estate is at a premium. If I can concoct a way to get an arcade power supply to fit and run cool enough, I think I'll try it.
