Ive decided that Im going to build my own supergun that I want to work, firstly with just MVS boards, but eventually I want it to work with CPS boards aswell.
I have found a tutorial here and it looks pretty thourough:

<a href="http://www.chads.arcade.btinternet.co.uk/Supergun/supergunIndex.htm" target="_blank">http://www.chads.arcade.btinternet.co.uk/Supergun/supergunIndex.htm</a>

Now I need to find the listed parts, does anyone know where I can get hold of the parts in the UK?
Once I know roughly how much all the parts will be, I'll be able to start work...

If you dis-agree with any of the hardware that is listed in the "materials" section of this turtorial, can you please explain what you think I will need in replacment.

Thanks in advance :)

I am having most problems working out how to get hold of a JAMMA Edge connector.

Hi m8,

Got my jamma connector <a href="http://www.coin.demon.co.uk/machines.htm" target="_blank">here</a>

I used chad's page to get me going to, it's pretty good.

You can get the stuff in maplin, but you won't need as much wire as he uses.

here's a list of the parts, that i'd use :

1x jamma connector
2x male 15pin d-sub plug (joyports)
1x female 9pin d-sub plug (rgb & audio out)
1x male 9pin d-sub plug
1x shell for 9pin d-sub plugs
1x scart cable
3x 100ohm resistors (for the r, g & b leads,'cause the picture might be too bright)
1x pc psu connector
1x at pc psu
1x power switch, that can switch the +5v & +12v line at once
1x pair of rca jacks for sound out
2x mini push button for "coin in" & "test"
1x case

that's actually all you need. you won't need a speaker if you can get better sound from your stereo system and tv. (just make sure to turn the volume as low as possible, before you hook up your gun for the first time)

joyport pinout :

scart pinout :
<a href="http://www.diyha.co.uk/electronics/scart.html" target="_blank">http://www.diyha.co.uk/electronics/scart.html</a>
pin20 = sync!

you also won't need any more fuses, 'cause there'll already be one inside the pc psu.
