Good point, its his money and his business, it does not concern us.
Even if a private deal went down, it should be his business.
Things are just weird though, I honestly would have NO problems with Arcade, but there are far to little questions answered.
Lots of people are left in the dark, when a number is secured, (be it 50 or whatever) Arcade should not say this site gets a special run, then go sell another run to another company.
I mean if not for the limited run in the first place, would this be in high demand?
I am sure it will be a excellent job, when complete. Not a doubt in my mind.
Sadly though, the game has been delayed far to many times, and people are left wondering what next.
If not for these delays then the few that cancelled there orders may have got there game, and shawn would have had more profit, (be he a business man, which he is), remember he was left with kof 2000 ng* version, and they still sit in the store.

We don't need another scenario like this.
I highly doubt if these EVER DO make it to the light, he wont have to sell for a loss.
When you have to sell for a loss, then that sucks.
I also doubt that Shawn had anything to do with Raven. If he did, they would have a listing on there site stating there would be very few, maybe someone could call in and verify the number of carts raven is getting, and from where?
The concern is simple though, if these go to raven, then he may lose money.

Now that raven has a piece of someone's pie, who gets the rest? HMMMMM......

does it say anywhere that there are going to be only 50 of these carts made? I know neo-geo.com ordered 50 but it was not listed as a exclusive Neo.geo.com only titles was it? Or am I missing something here?

I do not know if there is going to be a large number of them made or not but I think if the demand is there sure more will be made. just maybe without the numbering, gold labeling or what not. I am not speaking for anyone I do not have any inside information on this but I think everyone just assumed 50 were only going to be made because that is how many this board order.

if they get the KOF2001 deal do you think only the ones shawn orders will be the Run?

And, on another point, lets assume that Raven is gettting some Strikers carts. Has anyone thought about the fact that Shawn probably has an exclusive WITHIN THE U.S., and maybe North America, only? It would make sense for the cart to be offered to large retailers in different countries, which is possibly what is going on. Or, Shawn may be selling some copies to Raven.

Anyway, after seeing all the pics of the high quality manufactured Neo pcb boards, the insert, the full color manual, new cases, etc., its really kind of pathetic that people can whine about the high price. Obviously, the quality is there, beyond even a normal SNK release; so everyone whining about the price, recognize that that kind of quality DOESN'T COME FOR FREE. Yeah, but there have been numerous numbers given on the quantity. If not enough people preordered from this site, that may be his alternative, but we can prove nothing at this point.

Actually whining about the high price is a truthful act.
Or in other words, the price of the game is at a high 400, in other words that is a extremely high price for a new home cart, they came to the scene at first with a "solution" the solution was to help the fans which has changed dramatically.
First off, I cannot ever remember spending 400 for any SNK official game. (new at release)
Now this game is not even official, and people are spending more on it then for a official SNK product?
Just does not cut out to me. If the game was made 100% by SNK I could see the uproar, but it is not.

I bet alot of the people here are only preordering this for collective purposes.
It can be as high quality as ever, made with a solid gold case, but it gives SNK no benefit, and is a direct rip of a original cart.
If SNK produced the game, I would be supporting it. However in my opinion, its high quality piracy.
It profits off of SNK's name. A true SNK supporter only supports SNK. The game was never meant to be made on home cart, therefore it should stay on MVS, its native.


My support will be for the MS3 reproduction, why?

Maybe the tides have turned and some are switching over from SNK fan to ARCADE fan. They have already recreated the SS series in colors. Those cases came from a batch of murdered Ganryu's, you guys make your call I made mine.

I cannot bring myself to buy a game that uses the SNK name in vain.

-If Raven Games are selling this cart, they are not getting them from us.

-There will be only 50 of these carts produced by us-period.

-We do not set, or are responsible for the prices set at the retail level.

-Regarding the delays of this release, this release in no way will interfere with our daily regular production.

-We are doing the best we can to get this cart out and when it's ready it will ship plain and simple.

-Regarding certain allegations as to us "ripping Shawn off" we can only say this you might want to go to the source and ask the question directly. Then come back and make the same statement.

-Instead of constant "baseless" allegations our response is very simple. If you can do it better, cheaper or faster then by all means be our guest.

-Payments to the appropriate people have been made regarding the Strikers project and will be made to the appropriate people should we deceide to continue with future projects.

so tell me what will be you feelings if Eolith ok's a kof2001 cart run from !arcade!. will it be that since !arcade! does not work for SNK or SNK did not produce it and it is not a official SNK game and therefore does not deserve to be purchased <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

SNK will not do it without a 2,000 piece order, taken that NCS had a hard time getting 1,000 preorders for MS3 what do you think about future NGH carts.
