My MV-1 works just fine with the original SNK bios but when I install a Universe bios 1.3 the system reboots after maybe 30-40 minutes of play. After that first reboot/reset it pretty much happens every 3-5 minutes.

Just curios if anyone had any similar problems?

I had something similar when I upgraded from Universe BIOS 1.2 to 1.3. I needed to zap the backup ram.

Not sure if this is related though.

The backupram may be the cause, I suggest clearing it as td741 suggests. Also its a known fact that some of the latest games do not work well on the MV-1.

Thanks for the input. I cleared the memory but it still reboots. Whats even more strange is that after rebooting itself a few times, it then runs stable without any reboots :spock:.

Unfortunantly I only own one game so far, Shock Troopers, but I doubt its that because it runs fine with the SNK bios.

I have to run a few more tests because this is really odd..

perhaps you need to try v2.0 of the bios then?
